Three

Episode 5

When Kairi walked into the school on Monday morning, he kept his head down and made sure his hood was covering his face. He was running late, on purpose, to avoid seeing his boyfriends at his locker.

What he did forget though, was that he shared his second period class with the both of them. Kairi walked into the classroom and placed his late pass on the teacher's desk, waiting for her to sign it.

"Kairi, hoodie." Kairi sighed and pulled the hood off of his head before turning to walk to his seat, which was right in between Mattia and Alejandro.

Alejandro gently grasped the boy's chin, turning his head to face him. "We'll talk about this at lunch." He pecked the boy's lips and continued to do his work.

"Miss, I need to step out." The teacher already knew about Mattia's anger issues and wrote him a pass to the counselor's office.

Kairi could already feel the long conversation ahead as he placed his head on the desk.

Lunch came quicker than Kairi would have liked because he knew he was going to have to explain the bruises to the boys. He could easily lie but he knows in the end it will just make it worse for them.

"Parking lot." Mattia stormed off with the two boys following close behind. Mattia sat on the trunk of his car while the two boys just stood next to it.

"Talk." Mattia looked at the short boy expectingly. Alejandro lightly smacked the boy's arm with a stern look on his face.

"Well, I got home late and it made my dad angry and he ended up hitting me and I guess he hit me a little too hard this time because it left a bruise on my cheek." Kairi laughed dryly, he couldn't help but find it a little ironic.

"Baby, is this the first time that this happened?" Kairi shook his head and Mattia clenched his fist tight.

"It's not gonna be the last either, but we only have one year of high school left, I can handle it." Alejandro sighed but agreed with him, it's just one more year, then they can all move in together. Kairi and Alejandro already got jobs and started to save up for an apartment.

Well, Kairi saved what he could but it was hard with his father always stealing from him so he gave what he could to Alejandro to hold onto. Mattia was trying to find work but with his condition it was hard, they didn't want someone who wasn't always in control of their emotions to work.

"Fuck that! He shouldn't get to do this! Just stay with one of us!" Mattia hopped down from the trunk of his car as he tried to control how mad the situation made him.

"Baby, I can't. I'm not eighteen yet." Kairi wrapped his arms around the boy's waist to calm him down; gently rubbing small circles on his back with his hand.

"I know Kai, it's just so unfair that you have to go through this." Mattia wrapped his arms around the boy and held him tight.

"Wait. Can't Kairi get emancipated? He has a stable source of income and everything." Both boy's looked at him in confusion.

"Baby, I love you, but English motherfucker." Alejandro laughed and sat on the trunk of Mattia's car, pulling Kairi onto his lap.

"It means, Kairi could basically become legally in control of his own life, to a degree, but he would be able to get an apartment and everything and he would be safe." Mattia looked at the boy like he had two heads.

"Baby, you're a genius!" Kairi cupped Alejandro's face and pecked his lips.

"Kai is this such a good idea?" Mattia ran his hands on Kairi's knees as he looked down at the smaller boy.

"Are you fucking with me right now Mattia? You want me to stay with my abusive father?" Kairi pushed his hands away from him as he got off of Alejandro's lap.

"Woah woah, baby no. I meant, living by yourself, what about your little space?" Kairi immediately softened and felt bad for his actions.

"Fuck I'm sorry Matti I- I-" Kairi ran his hand through his hair as he tried to find his words.

"Baby, it's okay," Mattia laughed lightly as he hugged the boy. "I was gonna suggest me living with you but now i'm scared you might beat me u without Ale knowing."

Alejandro laughed at the thought of their short boyfriend trying to beat Mattia up.

"He wouldn't stand a chance my love." Kairi scoffed but let himself be held by the two boys.

"I love you guys."

"We love you too.'"
