Prologue

I never thought I would have gotten to that point in my life. I was in love with a criminal, an attempted murderer. She'd almost killed someone because of her love for me. I never thought I would be one to stray away from my mother, my friends, and most importantly, my God. She took me from the life I lived as the "preachers daughter", "God's child" and she became the center of my life. I didn't know if it was my own actions or hers which caused me to cling to her, but, I was so blindly in love that the  way she made me feel was much stronger than anything else. She had so much power over me I don't think she knew it, but she knew that I would do anything for her. Even if that meant leaving the ones I loved behind. I never thought I would give in to her, but she made it so hard not to. She unintentionally took me from what I knew best and brought me into a new world where she was my light and I, her's. This is the story of a church girl who lost her way.
