3rd POV:

Her breathing became hard as Azron lowered his head.

Then, the thing they've both been unknowingly waiting for happened.

They—

were stopped by a worried voice from across the room.

"Azealah."

Both heads snapped towards the voice and Azron gridded his teeth at who had interrupted them..... again.

It's Azealah mother, Selene.

"Oh my Angel." Selene said as she waved her hand and Azealah started to float towards her mother without wings.

The Moon Goddess caught Azealah's left hand when she was close enough, pulled her down, and immediately embrace her in a tight hug.

Selene looked up at Azron only to find him glaring daggers at her with hateful eyes.

The Moon Goddess tilted her head in a mocking way as her eyes were filled with amusement as she continued making fun of Azron.

She knew what he wanted and she knew what she just interrupted but she didn't care at all.

She came here for Azealah and to see how she is doing.

Azealah pulled away slightly while grinning at her mother only to find her smirking at Azron while her eyes were squinted a bit.

Azealah looked back at her mate only to find him with so much rage and hate in his eyes. She knew what her mother was doing. She was bullying Azron with her facial expressions.

The little Angel let out a loud giggle that made Azron completely melt in a puddle because of how much he loved that sound.

His eyes moved to look at his mate as a smile dared to try and break but he immediately got himself together. Only his mate gets to see him smile. Absolutely no one else.

The Moon Goddess quickly looked back at her Angel and cupped her cheeks while looking at her body and face for injuries.

When an Angel tries to mind link someone and the connection is not going through it means the other Angel is healing. Their body completely shuts down everything that's not necessary such as not being able to unfurl their wings. The fewer things the body has to worry about functioning, the faster it heals.

"Azealah," Started Selene.

"Our connection is weak and I didn't feel it until a couple of minutes ago. I came here as soon as I felt it. What happened little Angel? Are you hurt? Sick? Did anyone say anything to you?"

The connection between a created and a creator also weakness when one side is mentally unstable.

Azealah didn't want to lie to her mother but she also didn't want her mother to force her back to Heaven if she told her the truth.

She looked nervously between Azron and her mother. Azron started to feel the stress and nervousness coming from his mate in waves.

He uncontrollably growled and in less than a second, he brought his mate back in his arms on the bed.

He didn't want her to feel stress especially when she's healing. He looked back at her mother and snarled but stopped when Azealah brought her hands on his chest.
