Y/N drew in a deep breath, having poured her life story out to the Countryhuman in front of her.

North stared blankly at his desk. "Ssi-bal," he said under his breath. Then, louder- "Ssi-bal." He stood up and swept the papers off of his desk, screaming, "Ji-ral-ha-ne! Fuck!" He wheeled at the wall, driving his fist into it, making Y/N flinch.

The country came towards her, murder in his eye, and Y/N cringed, waiting for a blow that didn't come.

Instead, North stormed past her, still cursing under his breath, words that she hadn't heard before.

She didn't want to say anything, too afraid that he might turn on her, even though she knew he wouldn't do that.

"N-North, wait!" she still found herself crying, reaching after him. "I'm sorry!" She had kept herself together while telling the story, but now her tears were welling up, streaming down her cheeks, and- for the second time in her life- Y/N found herself sobbing in front of North Korea, begging him for the impossible.

"I'm so, so sorry!" she wailed, falling to her knees. "I-I-I-I d-di-didn't mean for this to happen. I was s-s-stupid, and s-s-s-selfish, a-a-a-an-" The girl couldn't continue, her throat closing up.

They were all doomed because of her.

North stared down at her, shaking with rage, his eye unfocused.

________

     North Korea was fucking pissed.

Out of all of the times in his life- his enslavement, his brother betraying him, the Fatherland Liberation War, the Sino-Soviet Split, the sanctions, America, nothing was like this.

Screaming and punching inanimate objects wasn't working like it usually did.

And as Y/N threw herself at his feet, apologising for some fucking reason, he realised what he had to do.

     'I have to kill America.'

Of course, that had always been his goal- nuke the bastard. But now he wanted to gut the country like a fish, stuff him full of hot coals, and sew him back up again, after throwing acid in his eyes.

His mind couldn't focus on one particular detail of Y/N's story- it was too hot and prickly for that- but he kept coming back to the image of America with Y/N's blood on his chin, after busting her lip.

      'I'm going to kill him.'

As he stared blankly at the crying girl, he realised that he should be comforting her. But he was so angry that he couldn't fucking talk. And he had never been good at things like this.

"Jot-gat-ne." The words ripped from his throat as he thought of their situation. "Get up."

Y/N cringed like he was going to hit her, just like she had when he had walked towards her, and his throat closed up again.

"I'm not-" He felt physical pain trying to talk. "I'm not going to hurt you. But we need to go now."

"G-Go?" Tears were still streaming down her beautiful face. "G-Go w-where?"

"Now!" North snapped, losing his patience and dragging her downstairs. She was still hiccupping sobs, and the country was doing his best to stop her from falling.

      'I'm going to kill him.'

________

Y/N finally got to stumble to a halt in the lobby, still crying.
