"You ready?" Atsumu hesitantly asks you once you both reach the door."Yeah, let's just go." Expecting your dad to open the door, you both take a nervous breath to see his assistant open the door. "Of course... he can't even open the door himself," you irritatedly mumble to yourself and walk in with Atsumu behind you.
"F/n, is that you?" Your dad's voice is heard. Atsumu's heart beats in excitement.
'I am actually going to meet THE L/n Hoshi!! Blessed!!'
Walking into the living room, you both see your dad on the couch with a laptop.
Your dad stands up when he sees you both and his eyes widen, "Oh, you brought a friend." Immediately, Atsumu politely bows.
"I'm sorry for intruding, L/n-san! My name is Miya Atsumu and I'm F/n-chan's friend!" Both of your eyes widen at the introduction.
"It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Miya-san. I'm glad F/n brought you for dinner. Let's eat; the food is probably ready." Your dad motions you both towards the dining room.
As you're quietly walking, your dad speaks, "Not going to greet your own dad?" A sweat drop appears as you give him a small bow.
"Nice to see you," you respectfully say before sitting on a seat besides Atsumu.
"How was your guys' trip here?" you dad asks as you all start digging in.
"It was fine," you give a blunt response. With awkward silence filling the room, Atsumu decides to lift up the mood.
"L/n-san, I am a huge fan. I'm also thankful for being invited to your youth camp!" This brings a pleasant smile on your dad's face.
"I'm glad. I've seen a lot of your plays and was impressed; of course, only the best of the best are invited to the camp." A small irk mark appears on your head.
'So you watch Atsumu play but not me? What a dad,' you irritatedly think to yourself as you listen to the two converse about volleyball. After feeling so out of place, your dad finally speaks to you.
"I'm proud you went back to volleyball, F/n. I wanted to schedule an interview for you," he says as you immediately reject; you hated interviews the most.
"I don't want to be interviewed."
"I'm afraid you have no choice, F/n. It will be held tomorrow at lunch," your dad unhesitantly responds which angers you.
"You know I hate being interviewed and being the center of attention. I'm fine with just peacefully playing volleyball with my team--"
"You have no choice, F/n. I'm your dad and if I tell you to have an interview, you are going to do it." The thick atmosphere gives Atsumu shivers as he worriedly stares at your shaking hands that hold your utensils.
"Have you been checking up on Rina?" you hesitantly ask.
"I have--"
"Don't lie... I can't believe you even have the guts to lie," you scoff, " I call her every night and I asked her if you have even called her or Mika once..." Your dad sighs.
"I've been busy, okay F/n? I have no choic--"
"No choice but to ignore your own daughter who is only five years old... How can you even call yourself a dad? I can't stay here anymore." Standing from your seat, you start to walk towards the door as Atsumu worriedly follows.
"T-thank you for the meal." Atsumu politely bows before running off to catch up with you. "F/n-chan... F/n-chan!" he calls out for you and finally stops you from storming away.
