Chapter 11

Nick's POV

Jo must of fell asleep on my pillow last night. That's where I found her when I woke up. I smiled as I slowly lifted my head up. As I reached out to pet her. She didn't move. I for the first time was able to finally pet this cat. Her eyes partly opened as she began to purr loudly. After she stood up to stretch, she made her way closer. Before I knew she plopped down on my arm and curled up. Well, looks like I'll be sleeping in a bit longer. If only Shay was here to see this.

Two more hours of sleep did me good. For once in a long time I actually felt okay. I found Joe with his head back and mouth wide open asleep on the couch in the living room. I snapped my fingers in his ear and he jolted up.

"Hey! That was rude," he complained rubbing his ear. I took a seat next to him.

"I would like to talk to you about something," I said ignoring his complaint.

"Okay sure, shoot."

"It's about the house.."

Flashback

Shay's POV

"You guys, we need to get Nick out of here," I said moving his body more on my lap. I stroked his curly hair wait for a response.

"There are a few cracked boards over there besides you," Joe said pointing out. I turned around and for sure he was right. Kevin scratched his own locks of curly hair.

"So if we bust them down. Who's small enough to fit through?" Joe and I quickly pointed to myself.
"Smart asses," he said under his breath.

As I continued to hold Nick. Kevin and Joe began to break the wood.

"Alright, this is all we were able to kick out," Kevin said brushing himself off. He handed me his keys. "You know what to do right?" I nodded my head then squeezed through the small opening. I ran as quickly as I could to his car and drove off.

7 minutes later

Joe's POV

"Uh Kevin, was she suppose to take us with her?" Kevin proceeded to bang the back of his head to the wall.

"Yup," he bluntly said.

"And was she suppose to unlock the front door?" Kevin gave the same answer. I sighed loudly pulling Nick closer to me. I love her, but she can be a blonde most of..no all the time.

A few minutes passed and we were greeted by many paramedics and a out of breath Shannon.

"Geez what'd you do run there?" I asked as they placed Nick on the stretcher. Kevin then piped in.

"Never mind that, Shannon you were suppose to unlock the door."

"I know, I didn't realize that until after I was half way there. I'm sorry you guys." She pulled the front of her hair be hide her ears and looked down. Kevin and I both sighed and gave her a group hug.

"Don't worry about that now. We're out and getting Nick to the hospital," Kevin said while looking at his brother being pulled into the ambulance. "Joe, why don't you go with Nick. Shay and I will meet you there."

"Sure, no problem." I rushed to my brother and jumped in. They shut the doors be hide me as they drove off.

"Nick?" I asked kneeling down next to him. I rubbed his arm while I whispered in his ear. "Nick, I'm here. It's your brother Joe. If you can hear me I'll like you to know something. Go for Shay, that girl is amazing and will do anything for you. She'll be better off with you, then me. Now please, don't make us wait long. I love you."

"Why did you tell me that?" Nick asked eating a bag of potatoes chips.

"Because it's true, you're at your best when you're with her. Plus, you get some awesome songs out of it," I joked. Just then I was receiving a FaceTime call. "Hey a girl I've been seeing is FaceTiming me." Nick got up and said, "I'll go jump in the shower. You have fun with your new girl. Make sure you tell me all about it." I slightly smiled as Nick entered the bathroom. I turned my attention to my phone and answered the call.

"Shay, I told you to wait until I called you."

"I'm sorry, does he know?"

"No, I was able to shoo him off. Now, are we still down for meeting up in a couple of days?"

"Of course, I can't wait to see you. I have a lot to tell you," she said applying on make up.

"Am I going to like it?" She laughed while placing her pink lipstick away.

"I would hope so. It's all that we've been talking about." I pulled the phone a little closer and whispered.

"What about Ryan and Nick?"

"I'll deal with Ryan. Joe, you absolutely cannot tell Nick about what we're doing. We've hurt him enough." I nodded my head then she disconnected us. I sure hope Nick doesn't find out. I don't think he could handle it right now. It was always suppose to be his special moment with her.
