Chapter 12 Damon's Dream

Damon's POV

I walked down the street.

*Beep Beep*

I took out my phone and notice the text from Elena

To Damon:

Where are you? I need to talk to you.

From Elena.

I smiled and texted her back 'I'm heading to the Grill.' I put the phone in my pocket and then looked up seeing Karin walking my way.

I stopped looking at her smile then she looked over at me with a smile and a wave. I was a little confused then smiled back. Maybe she was over it.

"I can't believe you brought me that." She said smiling. I turned around seeing Stefan walk past me with a bouquet of flowers. Stefan walked over to her and handed them to her.

"I'm your boyfriend. I'm suppose to get you nice things." He smiled hugging her.

"It's beautiful." She smiled. He smirked.

"Just like you." Stefan said smiling then leaned to kiss her. She deepened it then pulled away grabbing his hand.

"You're the best, you know that." She whispered. He nodded. "I'm so happy I picked you."

"I'm happy you did." He took her hand and walked in the grill passing me like I didn't exist.

I felt something in me die a little. Jealous... I walked after them bursting into the grill then suddenly it was at the Mikaelson's party.

I walked through the crowd seeing Karin dancing with Stefan, close.

Karin laughed smiling at Stefan as they danced. I started walking up to them when someone grabbed my hand. I turned around and Elena smiles at me.

"Damon, I love you." She spoke softly. She pulled me closer to her. "They belong together Damon."

I looked back at Karin and Stefan dancing closly together smiling at each other. I looked back at Elena.

"I love you too." I whispered. She leaned in to kiss me but I notice Stefan and Karin about to kiss too. I push Elena away and pushed people away to get to them. I grabbed Karin's hand to turn to me.

"Why are you kissing him?" I asked.

"I love him. " She said. I died a little by her words.

"You love me." I said.

"I love Stefan now." She said.

"Why....?" I whispered.

"Cause, you hurt me." She said with her eyes burning into mine. I looked at her and Stefan.

"I didn't---"

"You hurt me Damon, you threw me away like I was nothing anymore. You chose Elena instead."

. I didn't like seeing Stefan with her. It was painful.

I walked closer to her and put my hand on her cheeks. "We can start over. I'm sorry. I want you. I chose you."

She looked me in the eye and pulled away walking over to Stefan. "I love Stefan. I choose Stefan. I don't love you Damon anymore." She whispered then held Stefan's hand.

I felt my heart breaking. I sat up waking up, all sweaty. I looked around my room and saw Karin standing by my door.

"Karin..." I smiled.

"It's Katherine you idiot." She walked over to me. crossing her arms. "If you love her, why don't you go after her." She asked.

I got off the bed "Because I love her too much to have her. She's best for Stefan."

"Aww... you're such a softy." She smirked walking over to her.

"Why are you here Katherine?" I asked walking over to her.

"I missed you." She smiled walking over to me unbottening my shirt.

I pushed her away. " What are you doing here?" I asked.

She sighed. "Way to ruin the fun. I"m here for Klaus but wanted to stop by to say hi then you had this weird dream." She smiled.

"It was nothing." I said walking over to my tabel and pouring a drink.

"If you still love her go after her. You looked pretty upset and hurt seeing her with Stefan in the dream." She followed me and poured herself a drink.

"I do love her. But i love Elena more." I said drinking the drink.

She sipped on her drink then stopped looking at me. "No. You let her go because you want her to be happy with Stefan. And you want stefan to be happy." She smirked. I looked over to her. "Am I wrong?" She raised an eyebrow.

"No." I murmured then walked away. "Go find some other play toy." I shouted over my shoulder.

"You know you'll regret it!" Katherine yelled from my room.

I still love Karin but I had to let her go. It was the best for both of us. It was..... right?
