"What do you want from us? Why do you look like Zervex?" I demanded answers from this Xeren.
Hindi naman siya natinag sa mga taong ko at natawa pa siya habang tinitignan kaming dalawa ni Zervex sa sahig. "You are brave. Don't you remember me?"
"Hah? Hindi nga kita kilala, wag mong ibahin ang usapan." Nakakunot ang noo ko nang itinanong ko iyon.
"I was that guy you bumped into at your first week in school. After that, it was Zervex who you've been meeting." Pagpapaliwanag niya at tuwang-tuwa talaga siya sa pagkwento.
It really is a weird sight to have another version of Zervex smiling cheerfully and laughing, when Zervex rarely smiles and laughs in such a flippant way.
Inangat ko yung kaliwang kamay ko at minasahe ko ang sintido ko. "Imposible yan, alam ko kung sino si Zervex."
"Technically, you hadn't met him properly yet. And I doubt that you truly know who my precious younger brother is." Malambing pa niyang sabi.
He had a point at hindi ko pa talaga kilala kung sino si Zervex noon. Masyado pang cold at masungit si Zervex non, lalo na't tulog siya parati sa classroom noon. Nakakilala ko lang talaga siya simula nung potion making project dahil magka partners kami noon. He saved my life back then and no evil person would save you.
"Brother?" Pag ulit ko sa sinabi niya.
Nakakita siya, pero nakikita ko na isang malicious type iyon. "Yes, he is my little twin brother. That is the answer to your earlier question."
Napa sulyap ako sa mukha ni Zervex, at sa mukha ni Xeren. "I see, then what's your answer to my question of what you need from us?" Pagpapaalala ko sa kanya nung isa ko pang tanong.
Ang bilis ng pagbabago nung expression niya. Yung malaking ngiti niya kanina ay nawala nalang at naging blanko. It was the dignature look of Zervex, seeing that made them look so similar. Xeren's hair was just a tad bit longer, which wasn't enough to differentiate them easily.
"You would be needed for our cause." He answered vaguely.
"For what, exactly?" I pressed on.
"You don't have to know. All you need to do is come with us. I will get you out of here and have you protected."
That is really dodgy, but I see no other ways getting out of here with Zervex easily.
"Why? And how did you even get in here?" I frowned.
"I have my ways." Nakangisi niyang sagot at inilahad niya ang kamay niya sa akin. "So? Would you go with me?"
Napakagat ako sa ibaba kong labi at wala akong tiwala sa lalaki na ito. He seems too fishy and seems like he is hiding too much. What kind of brother would knock out their sibling unconcious?
"Pag-iisipan ko muna. Gusto kong magising muna si Zervex. Ayaw kong gumawa ng kahit aning desisyon na wala siyang malay." Madiin kong sagot.
I just need to buy time to figure out whay this man is scheming. I trust Zervex, but not him. He is diffrent, they may look the same– but they are not in the least slightest similar inside.
Mukhang nagulat naman siya sa sagot ko at naningkit ang mga mata niya. "Ganon ba? Bahala ka, babalikan ko nalang kayo sa loob nang isang oras." Nagkibit-balikat pa siya. "Paniguraduhin mong nakapag desisyon ka na sa loob ng isang oras, kung hindi–" inangat niya yung dagger niya at dahan-dahan niyang inikot yun sa daliri niya. "–hindi ka matutuwa sa paraan na gagamitin ko." Nakangiti niyang dugtong at saka nawala nalang siya na para bang bula ng kumurap ako.
