attack on Tighten

Rumbles flooded the street as rock music filled the air, civilians screaming and running in every direction. Why, you ask? Well it was the one and only Megamind in a giant robot suit, ready for a fight with the newest hero Tighten.
His voice erupted. "I hear there's a new hero who dares challenge my evil! Where is the one they call.. TIGHTEN!"
Civilians looked around, ready, but the hero never came. As hours went by and the sun began to set, there still was no sign of Tighten. Eventually Megamind got bored and left his robot suit, walking over to me.
"I don't understand, we had this day set! I have spent weeks preparing him and he doesn't even show! Its embarresing!"
I placed my hands at his shoulders, under his spiky shoulderpads and pressed a kiss against his chin. "I'm sure he's at home, being Hal. Wanna go check on him?"
Megaminds ears went pink and he nodded, puffing out his chest. "This will be a battle of a life time, we shall get set!" He waltzed back into his robot and blew a kiss, running off to the apartment complex Hal lived at.

Having stayed behind, I kicked my feet into the water after taking my socks and shoes off. I heard crashing and looked up, seeing Megamind and Hal fighting, but this was nothing like how Metro Man and Megamind fought. Hal was angry, and tried to kill Megamind. Hal furiously punched Megamind in the air then to the ground, and grabbing Megamind by his shirt.
"Oh good battle, i thought that went really really well! You can take me to jail now." He smiled, but it faltered immediatly.
"Oh, im not taking you to jail, i was thinking more like the morgue."
I quickly ran into the building, throwing a cement block, it hurtling at Hals head as Megamind pressed a button, sucking him into the robot sheild and shooting him out, making his escape.
Hal glared at me with laser red eyes. "What do you think you are doing? Do you think you measly little tiny powerless human can harm me? A GOD?"
I took a few steps back as he made his way at me, and quickly I struck him in the stomach with a punch, launching him into the opposite side of the wall, into the building beside it. He angrily lashed back, racing at me. "What the hell?" He stopped and floated above me, using his laser eyes to make a circle around me. "What the hell are you, a super?"
Inhaling the smoke from the lasers, I exhaled it into him, making him push to the ceiling, hitting his head on a rough spot and knocking him out momentarily, just enough time to which I could make my escape, running as quick as i could away to go find Megamind.

I ran in the street and found Megamind moments later, who was being chased by the now awoken Hal, ballistic and hungry for death. Megamind was on the floor, yelling into his watch as a giant ball fell from the sky right onto Tighten, the crazed super. Running to Megamind, i heard him laugh.
"Guess what, buster brown! It's made from copper! You're powerless agaisnt it! Its the very same metal used to defeat-" a hand shot through the copper. "Metro man?"
Hal burst out of the ball. "You should stop comparing me to Metro Man!" He threw the ball towards Megamind, to which i ran in and tried to stop it, slowing it down as Megamind had went down the subway train stairs, oblivious to my interphering. The ball continued to roll through as i flung myself through the stairs as well, knocking into the blue man.
"Y/n, what are you doing here?"
"What's it look like?" I grabbed his arm and lifted him to his feet, running to the opposite side of the tracks going up the stairs again. "Getting you away from him."
Megamind followed, smiling despite being ghost white. "I shouldn't have upset him, but he was stealing, y/n. He's nothing like Metro Man."
"You forget, love, he isn't Metro Man, hes Hal. How did you upset him so much hes trying to kill you?" I made my way to the apartment complexes, turning the corner onto Roxannes street.
"I may or may not have.. Boasted that Roxanne and I had kissed. He had a thing for her but turned to thievery since he couldn't get her to like him. I thought he would get mad and us fight, then he turn me in. How was i supposed to know he would want to kill me?"
I took the question as rhetorical, especially since we made it to Roxannes house. The front door man wouldn't let us up, Ms. Ritchi wanted no one to go to her room, but Megamind had dehydrated him, and we made our way to her.

The doorbell rang frantically, and Roxi opened the door as much as the bolt lock would let it.
"What do you want?" She inquired, though quite upset.
"Tightens turned evil."
"Congradulations. Another one of your genius plans has backfired on you. And Why did my doorman let you up?"
Megamind showed her the blue glowing cube, and she took it whispering 'Carlos'. She tried to close the door but Megamind pleaded.
"Please, Roxanne, no! I need your help!"
"And why do you need my help?"
"Because..You are one of the smartest people I know.."
"Oh? If I'm not the only one why don't you go to the others?"
I piped in. "Because I'm the only 'other' and I need your consultancy as well."
Roxanne closed the door to unbolt it and peered at me, sighing and letting us in her house. Megamind ran in, seeing her multiple hanging paper notes from the ceiling, ranting to himself in question.
"What do you mean copper?" She asked, hearing the word repeated from his constant talk.
"If we don't know Tightens weakness, he will destroy the whole city!"
"Why did you think Copper would have worked?" I asked, to which Megamind sighed exasperated.
"It worked on the final moments of Metro Man!"
"Well, what do we do?" Roxanne asked.
Megamind looked at Roxanne. "You knew Metro Man best, he always captured did he have a hideout?"
"I'm not sure! I can't think of anything." Roxanne rubbed her arms looking out the window.
"I have an idea as to where he could be, the old schoolhouse."
"The red one?"
"Yeah, he moved it years ago just outside the city."
Megamind looked into my eyes, his pupils dialating from big to small. "Have we gone to school together?"
"I'm pretty sure we had. But now is not the time for a trip down memory lane, we gotta go."
Both alien and human nodded simultaneously and we rushed down to Roxannes news van, driving in the outskirts of town.
