Observer Note:
The subject's friendship with Jacob appears to be the light in the darkness needed to move on with some normalcy. This turn of events is surprising and unexpected but at the same time, personally gratifying. Mingling with the popular crowd, albeit through Jacob, was something that never interested me – and I'm glad to see the subject remains grounded and hasn't compromised herself while hanging out with Jacob.
But what of this outing? The subject is naïve to think this isn't a date...but I am intimately familiar with that level of naiveté – she is me, after all. I would've talked myself into this being an outing vs. a date just to keep my level of anxiety down and allow me to function somewhat normally.
Through all of this, I still wonder – what about Sebastian?
