Those bears are the color of the Pansexual flag.
Now I know that the color of some plushies don't mean a lot. It could be coincidental.
But we know for a fact that he is homosexual in one way or another. The plushies are the exact, identical color to the flag (the setting is dark but it's obvious). And we want more LGBTQ+ representation in Glee, yes?
So even if this isn't exactly a well-proven theory, it'd be nice to at least pretend. Our good boy Russ may very well be Pan representation.
But when you come to think of it maybe this isn't the best Pan representation... I mean, he was unconscious most of the episode.
