Noah pov

My eyes were traveling between the two of them without blinking an eye, it's like an unspoken game

And no one of us wanted to lose in it

Our eyes became red and teary from the stare

And I wanted so badly to just blink for a second

But I couldn't

It's a life or death situation 

"Stop being kids and solve the problem now you don't have all day!!"

My mum screamed from the kitchen making all of us, Sam, Eli and I blink several times while groaning

"Why did you even ask her on a date today?" Elijah said while shaking his head

"I just wanted to take her on a date so badly I forget that all of my salary is gone on the bills and food and our old debts ,can you both just help me? Please"

I said with a sigh while rubbing my hand on my forehead feeling a headache form

Yesterday when Cataleya said yes to the Date I was the happiest man in the whole world I lifted her and twirled her in the middle of the hospital lobby not caring that I look like a foul

Laughing by myself because Cataleya wasn't

But when I asked her what she was feeling she said that she has an increase in her dopamine level

And if my memory wasn't cheating on me she was happy

But when I driven her to her home I remembered that I am basically broke

So here I am in a meeting with my brother and friend so they could lend me some money

"Just say to her that you are not feeling well and delay the date after you get your salary" Eli suggested while putting a sandwich in his mouth

"I swear we don't eat in this home as much as you do, and beside I can't tell her that what if she doesn't want anymore" I said while shaking my head

"Hey!! I can't resist your mum's cooking and beside that bitc... I mean that girl should be grateful that she is dating you" he quickly corrected himself when I glared at him

"We will see what you will do when you go out on a date" I said shaking my head and he snorted but before he could say anything stupid I raised my hand to silence him while glaring at my brother who is currently reading a book and not caring about his strugelling brother

"All this is unnecessary, I always lend you money can't you do it for me this time?" I asked Elijah with a leading and tired voice

He sigh "I don't have any money yesterday my father stole it so he could buy his stupid alcohol" He spat with venom filling his voice

"but I can land you my co-worker truck he owns me a favour" he continued

"But I already have the work car" I replied

"Of course you won't pick her up for the date in her car that's stupid" he said while looking at me as if I grew two heads

"You are right , thank you" I said with a smile and a nod of appreciation

He smiled and we both looked at the same time at Sam who was still reading his book

When he felt our eyes on him he sighed and put the book down "what?" He said in a bored tone

"I want money" I said in an equal bored voice

"I am still a student from where would I get money?" he said
