16 - Running Like Crazy

With the fact that Michael has been busy with his Calum job, he would occasionally ask for small jobs here and there just so he wouldn't get too bored.

Just small hits to keep him going and to give him an outlet to let out his stress. He was beginning to get used to Ashton not being there with him during the jobs, but him getting cut a month ago and getting quite literally stabbed just thirty minutes ago proved otherwise.

He wasn't weak and he didn't let people get the upper hand over him. But his mind has been running like crazy lately and he can never seem to push it away to seek concentration.

Groaning as he felt a moment of pain and dizziness, he felt his body slam against the dusty wall of some random building he was walking next to. Michael didn't want to panic, but he couldn't find the strength to keep moving in the night to get to yet another hotel he was staying in.

It must have been due to the adrenaline he was feeling from the fight that he wasn't struggling before. He had killed the man after stealing back the knife the other had initially stole first from him, slicing his throat like he usually did with his victims. It was once he started leaving the bloody scene and walking down the streets with his wound bleeding out when he really felt the affects kick in.

He groaned in pain as he felt another surge of pain, resulting in his body slowly falling to the ground with the assistance of the wall holding him up until his bottom hit the ground.

Holding his hand against his upper stomach, he flinched when he really saw how much blood his shirt was covered in. He was going to die if he didn't get help, making him shallowly pull his phone out with blurred vision and slow reactions.

Scrolling through his contacts, his eyes narrowed at a certain name. He didn't want questions and he didn't want worry, so he threw his remaining pride out of the door as he pressed call. His phone rang a few times before the owner of the number he called answered with a simple hello.

"Luke..." Michael breathed out already feeling himself fall out of consciousness, "I-I didn't want to call Ashton or Calum. They'd ask too many questions."

"What is it?" Luke asked concerned as he heard a new tone to Michael's voice. It sounded like pain and he didn't like the sounds of it.

"I'm in the middle of an alley on James Street. Please come find me."

Michael instantly heard movement from the other side of the line, giving him some sense of hope at the fact that Luke was going to help him and go out looking for him.

"Talk to me." He ordered into the phone as he rushed out of his bar's doors and made his fast way to his car, feeling glad that Ashton and Calum happened to be out on a small, needed date between each other as he stayed behind to catch up on some business, "What happened?"
