We are close to the end of this book, and I never did give details about Gale, so here you all are.
Gale is a short redheaded trans boy. He's actually a year or two younger younger than Vine is. Gale joined the group at age 20, when Vine was around 21. He has a very soft, quiet voice. Which is good, considering Vine doesn't like loud noises. He's a little on the heavy side, which he's secretly self conscious about.
