Necklace

hi! so im sure we've all seen those tik tok videos of the necklace thingy so i decided to make it into a oneshot. This is only inspired by the videos, im the one coming up with the story buttt credits to the original maker of the video because this is inspired by that. ok i hope you enjoy!
*also im typing this on my laptop instead of my phone so im not sure if it'll look different

I was sitting in class when a little note fell on my desk, automatically i knew who it was from, draco. He would always send me notes like this, i thought it was adorable
I open it up and it read,
"meet me under our tree after your next class love, i have a surprise - draco <3 " always the romantic.
I look up to see him smiling that sweet smile he only ever uses on me and i nod my head yes while i feel myself blush because he really was the sweetest.
After class as im packing up my stuff and feel a soft cold hand on my head and the hand gives my head a shake

(i feel like draco would be the kind of boyfriend that loves to mess/tease you so i hope you know what i mean lol)

"draco! youre messing up my hair" i say laughing but trying to act annoyed
"It was already messed up" he says jokingly "rude" i say back as i finish packing up
"I'll walk you to your class"

We get to my next class and draco gives me a small kiss before he has to leave to his class
"So youll meet me at the tree?" he asks for reassuarance "of course, i'll see you later, now go before your'e late and you get a detention" i say lightly pushing him away
"baby i'm draco malfoy, i don't get detentions" he gestures to himself as he walks backwards still looking at me in a cocky yet playful attitude
"draco you get detention all the time, now go" i say rolling my eyes walking into my class

All throughout class I think about what draco could possibly have as a surprise. Finally class is over and i make my way to our tree
it was a beautiful tree, it was big and old but it always had the most beautiful leaves with pretty little pink and yellow flowers, it was in the back of the school and there was never anyone near it as i wait for draco i think about why this was our tree.
When draco asked me out on a date the first time ever he had set up a picnic under this tree which surprised me considering wellll considering he was draco but it was very sweet. After a couple dates he officially asked me out under this tree, and then we had out first kiss under it, clearly it was a very special tree
As i finish up my thought i see draco walking towards me with something in his hand
"hello love, how was class?" he asks "it was fine but all i could think about was you" i respond smiling softly
"same here love, so i have a gift for you" he says smirking "well what is it?" i ask ciriously
he hands me a lovely little green velvet box "go on, open it" as im about to open it he stops me "wait! i should talk before you open it" he says more to himself than to me

"y/n you are the lovliest most beautiful person to ever exist and I love you with my whole heart and there is nothing more that i want then to spend the rest of my life with you" he says his words full of love
"draco thats beautiful, i love you too... wait you aren't proposing are you?" i say kind of nervous
"no- no love," he says chuckling, "open it" i open it and find a beautiful ring with a big diamond, i lift it and see that its on a necklace chain
"its a promise ring, because i promise to love you forever and i promise to marry you some day" he says smiling . i begin to tear up "draco this is beautiful, i can't tell you how happy you make me" i say nearly crying from happiness
He notices and gives me the biggest hug and kiss, as we pull apart i lift the necklace to look at it again,
"can you put it on me?" i ask "of course love" i move my hair and feel his cold hand touch my neck
"thank you draco, its beautiful"

months have passed since he gave me the necklace and our feelings and promise remained the same
As we held hands and walked to the dinning room i felt draco glacing over at me "what is it?" i say confused "youre just pretty thats all" he respondes smirking
After dinner i tell draco i have to get a book from the library and that i'll meet him in the common room
after i get my book im walking through the empty halls which are now dimly lit, its almost cerfew but i hear a girls voice "draco come on", i cant make out who it is, maybe pansy? i hear who im assuming is draco respond but I can't hear what he said. i continue to walk towards the voices and as i turn the corner i see pansy snogging draco.
my heart instantly drops and tears fall out of my eyes before i can process anything. i gasp and thats when draco turns, "y/n, love" "how could you? after everything" "love please you don't understand-" "leave me alone, i hate you draco" i see him start to cry as i walk away
