I had a dream you cheated

I thought of this because of a comment I saw the other day and I thought it was funny/cute so enjoy!

i wake up and walk out of my room into the halls looking for Malfoy with an angry expression on my face and puffy red eyes
"Malfoy!" I shout walking towards Draco with an angry look
He's with his friends but he shoos them when he sees me walking towards him
"What?" He asks confused
"You're an ass you know that" I say punching his arm, to me it felt super strong but to Draco it felt like a small shove
"What is wrong with you y/l" he asks again staring at me with a confused look
"I had a dream about you" I say furrowing my brows
"Oh?" He said smirking
" not like that!" I say punching his arm again
"Oww ok ok," he says grabbing his arm "well what was it then?"
"I had a dream you cheated on me and you broke my heart and you didn't even feel sorry. It was horrible, it felt as though...as though it was real. I woke up crying" I say with teary eyes and an angry expression remembering the dream
"Y/l..." he says "you do realize we're not even dating right?" He says trying to hold back a laugh
"It's not funny Malfoy!" I punch again
"It is though," he says laughing "I mean come on I tease you all the time for being a muggleborn, we've never actually talked unless I'm insulting you, and the only romantic interaction we've had is when my hand touches yours when I snatch your book away" he continues to laugh
"well yea but..." I say looking down feeling embarrassed for being so emotional about a stupid dream, and to think Draco would even date me in real life was a complete joke. I mean he was right, he was a bully. How had I managed to catch feelings for him, have a dream about him, and then confront him about a silly little dream??

"It was just a dream y/l" he says as he stops laughing
"Yea you're right, ummm I'm sorry for making it a big deal... just got too emotional i guess.." I say looking at my feet "sorry for punching you"
"It's alright, probably deserved it for all that teasing" he smirks
"Yea" I weakly laugh
After a moment of silence I turn to walk away avoiding eye contact
"Y/l" Draco says grabbing my arm to stop me, "you aren't actually upset are you?" He questions
I stay silent looking at his hand wrapped around my wrist
"Come on y/l you were talking a second ago"
"It's embarrassing" I whisper
"What's embarrassing"
"Me"
"Y/l im gonna need you to start speaking in full sentences or im gonna get frustrated with you" he says
"Im embarrassing. And youre right, you tease me all the time and i still managed to catch feelings for you. And i had a stupid dream and i got too emotional, and i embarrassed myself in front of you and it's stupid of me to think you'd even date me." I whisper/shout as a continue to avoid eye contact
"You actually like me?" He says surprised
"Well yea, i mean im over here crying about a dream because you cheated on me" I say
"Well if it makes you feel any better, i wouldn't cheat on you" he says
"Really?" I say slightly rolling my eyes in disbelief
"Cheating is pointless, too much effort" he smirks
I laugh lightly
"And you crying over a dream about me then punching me isn't the most embarrassing thing a girl has done with me" he smirks again
"gee thanks" I say rolling my eyes again
he slowly moves his hand from my wrist to holding my fingers, playing with them almost
"You really like me y/l?" He asks looking into my eyes
"Don't act so surprised Malfoy, almost every girl likes you"
"True, but you're the first one to have a dream about me then punch me" he laughs lightly
"Listen, since you're so upset about it and i think you're quite cute, I'll take you for a butterbeer." He smirks
"ok" I whisper smiling
"Come on," he says fully grabbing my hand, "no more teary eyes ok y/n?" He says looking at me as we walk
"Ok" I smile

"Here are your drinks sir" the waiter says to us and they place our butterbeers on the table
"So if you don't mind me asking, who'd I cheat on you with" he smirks
"Parkinson" I say laughing
"Gross y/l," he says in disgust "out of everyone.. her? yea you definitely don't have to worry about that" he says
"So malfoy.."
"Yes?"
"Why do you tease me?" I ask embarrassed again
"I- um I don't know actually..." he says trailing off
"I guess umm well i- I think you're cute and i don't know... I don't know know how to show it, im sorry" he says
"Funny, im too emotional and you're too emotionless" I smile
"I guess you're gonna have to teach me" he smiles "and er- have patience with me"
"As long as you don't cheat on me malfoy" I joke
"I wouldn't" he laughs
