Ruler of the underworld, I have arisen, your servant, to do your bidding, to destroy those who try to stop you and your abominable. Arise, great devourer of souls. Hide no longer. In darkness, we are united. In darkness, we shall rule. Arise! Arise! Arise! Arise and rule!

Those are the words that have me shooting up in the middle of the night, letting out a shriek. Willow, still my roommate (until tomorrow night at least, which is when she and Patricia are switching rooms), is the first one awake, her hair in tangles. I throw my hand over my chest as Mara turns on a lamp, asking me what's wrong.

"Bad dream," I tell them, still breathing heavily. "Just a... bad dream. Sorry for waking you guys up."

Before I even got a chance to leave my room for breakfast the next morning, I received a text on my phone from Eddie. He wants me and the rest of Sibuna to meet him in their room before school, which doesn't exactly bode well. With my dream from last night still on my mind, I left my room and ended up running into Patricia in the hallway and asking her if she knows what Eddie needs. Well, she didn't know either, so we've gone down together. We're the last ones in the eerily silent room, and Eddie looks like a mess.

"You look terrible," I remark, a slight dread seeping into my tone. Oh, no. Not again. "What's going on?"

"He had a vision," Fabian informs reluctantly, and at the look on my face, he adds, "I suppose you did, too?"

"I have dreams, not visions," I say slowly, leaning on Eddie's nightstand. There's probably no difference, but it doesn't matter. I knew it was too horrible to be just a dream. "Eddie, what did you see?"

Eddie's shaken. "It was Frobisher," he says without even looking at us. I've never seen him like this. "He was chanting. He was trying to... I don't know—summon something. Something terrible."

Recalling my dream, I recite carefully, "'In darkness we are united, in darkness we shall rule?' That it?"

"That's it. You saw it, too."

"I heard it. It was complete darkness for me."

Eddie swallows, finally glancing up at us. "Guys, I think something really, really bad is gonna happen."

I hate to admit that Eddie was right. That we hadn't actually stopped the ceremony, that the impure of heart had succeeded in reawakening Robert Frobisher-Smythe, and that KT's great-great-grandfather, Sarah's father, Lily's adopted father, renowned Egyptologist Frobisher was evil. I didn't want it to be true in any way, shape, or form but now... I can't think of any other explanation for his dream, for mine.
