"Oh, I do hope this isn't a dream," says Denby. I grab onto Eddie's jacket as she grabs something from beside her. "Great Ammit, I give you the goodness in these souls." She opens a canister and Eddie, Harriet, and I are forced to watch as Denby turns them into sinners. No, no, no. "Robert anticipated you might do something like this. Welcome to the team. Victor!"

"Not KT," Eddie mutters. Harriet and I shush him at the same time.

Victor comes into the room. "You called me?" KT waves at him, like a taunting kind. "What? How did you get in here?"

"The secret passageway," answers Willow. Oh, crap. "They're hiding in there."

"Come on, we've got to go," Harriet tells us, but Eddie isn't going so easily.

"No, change them back, Denby!" Eddie shouts. I grab his shoulders to pull him back into the passageway as Victor advances toward us. Harriet shuts the passageway door as we crawl through the passageway, our party of five now down to a party of three. When we get out of the house into the woods, Eddie says, "Willow must have lost the key."

"Which sucks for us!" I add.

"Go!" Harriet insists. "I'll explain. There's no time. Go!"

The woods are dark and very creepy, and as we run through the trees and branches and bushes, it's hard to tell exactly where we are or where we're going. But our running comes to an end when we come to a dead end, and Victor and Sinner KT aren't far behind us.

"No way through," Eddie says. I shake my head, running forward to find something.

"Eddie, Ashley, listen, the key—!" Harriet begins.

Eddie whirls around at something behind us. "Don't come near us!"

            It's KT!

"Eddie, I'm still me," KT states desperately. "I don't know how or why, but I'm still me."

"I think she's telling the truth," says Harriet, although I (with the feelings) can't confirm. Ever since they caught Alfie, I haven't gotten a feeling. Not even when they captured that entire room.

As Harriet steps forward, Eddie draws her back. "No, no, no. It's a trick."

"Eddie, Victor's going to be here any second," KT informs. "You have to believe me. Ashley, please!"

"No, no, stay back. I mean it!" Eddie warns. KT looks at us, turning her head and covering her eyes like she's crying. "See? She's covering her eyes. Why would she do that unless she's evil?"
