"Olivia?"
The doctor called us and waved us all into a side office where he shut the door behind us. My mom and I sat in the two available chairs, Riker standing behind us bracing himself against the chairs.
"Now, Olivia is interesting to say the least." The doctor started to say as he sat down behind his desk. I interrupted him, dying to say something and get answers. "What's wrong with her?" I blurted, literally, if sounded like a word dam burst and the words flooded out.
"Well." The doctor said, straightening a little in his chair. "She suffered from an extreme and delayed anxiety attack. Simple as that. She should wake up fine and dandy, you can take her home soon after that. Just don't stress her out too much." The doctor said, closing a file I hadn't noticed before and gesturing for us to leave.
"Mary?" He asked as soon as we left, already moving through the crowd that sat in the waiting room.
"Which is her room again?" I asked my mom, she was finally getting color back to her face knowing that Olivia was gonna be fine. "4400." She said, I nodded and led the way down through the doors and down the hall until I came across a room with a sliding glass door and a curtain behind it.
Taking a breath I grabbed and opened the sliding glass door, knocking once on it after I opened it. "Come in guys." Came a quiet voice, seeing me hesitate, Riker stepped ahead and walked through first. My mom and I soon followed.
Olivia's bed was empty, searching the room I spotted her curled up on the seat beneath the window. A white hospital blanket wrapped around her shoulders as she gazed out the window. "Olivia, how are you doing?" I asked carefully, she took a deep shaky breath. "Better, I guess."
"Did the doctor come in and talk with you?" My mom asked as she sat on the bed, clearly giving Olivia her space. Olivia nodded slowly, not turning away from the window.
Rydel couldn't take it anymore and raced over to Olivia, giving her a huge hug. Olivia buried her face over Rydel's shoulder and deep within her mess of stressed crazy hair. From the way Olivia's posture moved I could tell she was saying something into Rydel's ear. After another few moments the two girls pulled apart, an agreement sealed between them. "So, how are you really feeling, Olivia?" Ross asked, getting comfortable in one of the recliners lined against the wall.
"Tired mainly, though that may be the medication they gave me to relax." She said to the window again. "When did you start feeling sick? After we got there or..." Ross prodded, Olivia squirmed slightly. "Well, at first I was just kind of breathless and then it settle to nausea, then Stormie took me home and I laid down until Rocky got there. As soon as I shut the door..." Her chest began to rise and fall more rapidly, beeping noises began to come from a small machine, followed by the appearance nurses.
"I'm sorry folks but you'll have to come back later." The nurse practically shoved us from the room.
