BANSHEE • NOUN

a special human woman who has the supernatural power to sense and predict when someone is about to die. their mournful screaming or lamentation was believed to foretell the death of a member of the family or friend of the banshee, though their scream can also be used for other purposes. the only ones capable of dying by hearing a banshee's scream are the victims of the banshee.
