Chapter 11: A zero no more.

Zero's pov (first person)

Ok! To be honest, THAT ATTEMPT OF MURDER FROM BRUTUS HURT SOME BAD! Though my powers pretty much healed my wounds and revived me (which was new), I still feel like it just revived me and left my bleeding wounds.

Anyways, when I heard Sonic say that I was his friend.....and his hero, my powers quickly came out as I got back up, the spots where my broken bones were to still hurt, but ever since that moment, I feel more stronger than before. I feel like when I turned 15 a week ago, my body had gotten bigger and had gotten used to my powers surging through me. I felt like........I wasn't powerless anymore!

Even though I didn't hear him, I knew Sonic had just sighed in relief of the site of me alive. He then gives me a nod of good luck before moving out of the way. I then saw Boomer with a bag of popcorn, giving me a supportive thumbs up. I just gave him a thankful nod before glaring electric blue daggers at Brutus. Brutus just stares at me with complete shock in his eyes "Impossible!" He screeched "I thought I killed you!" "and I think you caused enough damage for one day, Brutus!" I spat back at him in a venomous tone, not replying to his shocked reply.

Before Brutus reply with a snappy remark, I clutched my fist as lightning sparks towards the destructive robot, sucking up almost all of it's energy.

"YO ZERO!!!!" Sonic's voice suddenly echos from the distance. I turned around to see him right beside me, but not too close so we can be zapped by the lightning coming out of me. "So.....The lightning powers in the movie......were actually real?" I exhaled softly and nodded. "but I didn't want to tell you..." I said with another sigh, "Why?!" Sonic asked urgently. I looked at him with my electric blue eyes filled with sorrow and guilt "if I drop down dead after this.....*sigh*.......I want YOU to be Movie Sonic....."

"What!?" Sonic gasped when I said that "m-me? Zero! you know I'm not like you! I don't have lightning powers and I don't know anything about movie acting!" "but I believe in you!" I said "you go shoot for the moon, Sonic! Even if you miss, you'll land on the stars!" "Zero! please! don't do this!" Sonic bagged with tears streaming down his face " your friends had lost Dominic, but they can't lose you too! I can't lose you too!" "Sonic....." I spoke softly and calmly as I can as tears begin flowing down my cheeks as well ".....I'll always be with you!"

After I said that I felt a warm in brace around me as Sonic held me in a tight hug. I could hear him sobbing behind me as I hugged him back the lightning was beginning to grow a bit larger yet died down as I began to feel emotional yet calmer at the same time. Without anyone looking, I got a ring from my pouch and threw it, making a portal. I then kicked Sonic and my friends through it........before coming face-to-face with Brutus.......for the last time.

Normal pov

As the portal closes behind him, Zero begin sparking even more as he bent down into a runner's crouch. Brutus, using last of the robot's energy, got all the death blasters ready and eating them all at Zero. Zero was filled with confidence and hatred towards his old photo but the only thing that was on his mind.........was his friends. Zero was the only Hope when Dominic died and he hoped that Sonic would be the same if Zero succumbs to both his injuries and his powers.

As soon as Brutus pushes the button releasing all power from the robot to the death blasters, Zero zoomed towards him, dead centre. He was able to dodge all of the robots attacks before spin balling the machine over and over and over again. the last time he slammed to the machine, he uncoiled and unshifted a strange blue dagger like weapon filled with lightning with a bit of water. Zero didn't know how he did it due to it being more like a Greninja move, but he just ignored it and slash Brutus in the face with it before beginning a fistfight between him and the former "director" of the Sonic Movie.

There was a lot of black eyes and a lot of bloody noses but Zero eventually took the Upper hand. Due to the robot being out of power it begins to tumble on top of the building......with people still in it due to watching RJ's (Who was eventually chosen for Movie Tails) scene— giving everyone the announcement that there's gonna be a new sequel coming out.

Zero then took out another ring and threw it, making another portal somewhere where Brutus can't hurt anyone. But before he could jump off, he felt a sharp pain in the shoulder as Brutus stabbed him with a switchblade, causing more blood to flow out of Zero's small body. The small hedgehog lets out a painful screech.......before feeling all of his powers surging out with him before the world went black.

Sonic's pov

On the other side of the portal, Sonic and the others are watching from a mile as the large robot crashes onto a cliff before falling down to the bottom. Sonic's heart was pounding out of his chest we saw a hint of blue lightning coming out of the robot As he began to run towards the cliffs.........where he saw the rubbish after now destroyed robot.

"ZERO!!!!!" Sonic tries calling for Zero, but there was no answer. He calls again, this time with the help from Dash and James...... but there was no sound, not even a sound of rubbish falling.

Everything was silent until.....

"Yo guys! Can someone help me bury this jerk's body?"

That voice sends a spark of hope through everyone's body as they begin to see a small figure dragging a human's body like a killer. It was Zero with Brutus' now lifeless body.

Sonic then ran to Zero and hugged him tight, tears were flowing down and cheeks. Zero smiles and hugs him back. After a very long time hugging Zero breaks to hug and thirst everyone with a happy......yet groggy smile.

"Welp! This place is pretty much clean with Brutus now...." Zero spoke with a groggy tone as he begins to wobble a bit " I dOn't KnoW If yIu GuYs Are......aRe trIeD or.......o-or......."

Sonic places a hand on Zero's forehead, he was burning up very bad. "You are burning up with a high fever, Z!" He said "You feel different?"

"No, I.....I doN'T!" Zero replied "oNly a bIt oF nAUseA aNd.....anD pAin.....b-bUt....I'm...Fin...." Before everyone knew it, Zero collapses.

Sonic Felt nothing but fear and concern for Zero as he ran to him, fear for his friend's life. He tried to shake him awake, but nothing worked. "Zero?!.....J-James! I-Is he ok?!" Sonic asked James with panic in his voice "w-why isn't he waking up?!"

"It's ok, Sonic" James said as he ran up to Zero and picks him up, bridal style "this is what he does after the uses up his powers. It completely normal. So don't worry."

But when Sonic was about to sigh in relief, James checks Zero's pluse—his expression changes dramatically after that. He then turns back to Sonic with a serious look as he opens his mouth to say a few words that made Sonic freeze in shock:

"Sonic! Call 911!"
