After almost making puke my lunch all over the floorboard of his car with his reckless driving, Ryan finally stopped at an ice cream shop and went in, while I remained seated in the passenger’s seat, willing myself not to vomit.

That handsome devil almost killed us both on our way here. He almost crashed his car against two other drivers and I swear I saw him drive past a red light.

Oh, I was so going to give him a piece of my mind when he gets back. I would have on our way here but I was too busy praying to God not to let us die.

Why did he even drag me here? We don’t even talk much when we see and I don’t even know what our relationship with each other is.

Where we ex-best friends now just friends? Or friends who kiss each other when they feel like? Or something else?

I waited for five minutes before he came out of the shop with two ice cream sundaes in hand and a stupid grin on his face.

Yeah, I remember he likes chocolates a lot and the two sundaes looked to be of chocolate and vanilla flavor topped with whipped cream and a cherry on top.

He got back in the car and handed one of them over to me.

“Jeez, I wonder how I’m going to eat this with my stomach still reeling with the excitement of your driving.” I sarcastically said while taking the sundae from him.

“Sorry about that. Jenny used to love me driving like that, I thought you would too,” He muttered and started to feast in his sundae.

“Oh I’m sure she would also love the display you made in the parking lot too.” I can’t believe he thought I would like anything his bitchy girlfriend would. Why did he even bring her up? I hate her.

“It’s none of her business anymore.” He shrugged while he kept scooping away his sundae. I looked at him confused. What did he mean by that?

“Why isn’t it her business anymore?” I asked and watched as he rolled his eyes exasperatedly before he answered.

“I broke up with her, okay. Now could you stop talking and let me enjoy my sundae.”

I didn’t know if I should be mad at how he talked to me or feel sorry for him. But he didn’t look like he felt sad about their ended relationship.

“Why did you drag me here with you, Ryan?!” I wanted to know.

" ’cause, I wanted to spend time with you.” He shrugged without looking at me. “I already told you, I miss you.” He added and kept eating his sundae.

I couldn’t stop myself from smiling at him even though he wasn’t looking at me, and then I started to eat my sundae.

We kept eating in silence and I couldn’t stop myself from throwing side-way glances at him. He just looked so cute with his black hair being ruffled by the wind and his face scrunching up because of how cold the sundae was.

I was halfway through with mine when he finished his and started to drive again, but he didn’t speed this time. Thank God!

“So...when did you guys break up.” I had to ask.

He was silent for some time, just kept driving and looking at the road. I thought he wasn’t going to answer me until I heard him say,

“Wednesday. The day she was rude to you on your date. I told you we had a fight. I also broke up with her then.” He gruffly said leaving me confused.

I had seen them together after that day and she was always clinging to him and he never pushed her away. Also the night he kissed me and she called, he left me to go meet her.
