"You stalking me, shorty?"
My eyes went wide hearing what he asked.
I quickly took a few steps back and cleared my throat before saying, "Stalking? My ass!"
"Oh yes! The peachy one!" he said, giggling.
I rolled my eyes at him.
"What are you doing here? Near physics lab? You are journalism, right?" he asked.
"I haven't read a rule that says a journalism student must not be near the physics lab in the college's rules and regulations. Where did you find it, newbie?" I sassed.
He chuckled. "Yeah, you're right. Ok then, take your little walk. I'll take my leave," he said and walked past me, our arms brushing slightly.
Elka, why the hell are you here? To argue with him or clear the misunderstandings?
I shut my eyes and mentally face palmed myself before turning around and called, making him stop on his tracks and turn around to face me. I took my steps towards him. He was looking at me with perplexity while I was chewing my bottom lip out of nervousness as I looked down.
"What is it, shorty? he asked. "You gonna ask me out?"
I darted my eyes at him and snapped, "As if! You're not even my type."
"Ok, then. Bye." He turned around to leave.
"Wait!"
"God, Elka, what is wrong with you? You're wasting my time as well as yours," Danish said, getting a bit annoyed.
"I want to tell you something."
"Is it about Friday night?" he asked me.
I slowly nodded my head.
"Well then, let's go somewhere and talk," he suggested.
"Let's go to the ground," I said.
"Ground?"
"Then where?"
"How about Mugs Coffee?" he asked, giving me an eyebrow flash.
"Mugs Coffee? You mean the coffee shop around the corner of-"
"Yeah, that one. Coffee at noon is fine for you, right? I'm usually not hungry at lunch and that's why I chose that place. You wanna go somewhere else?" he asked, cutting me off.
Is he taking me on a date?
"Chill, it's not a date. We will be back before college is over. So you're fine with Mugs Coffee?" he said, snapping me out of my daze.
How the hell did he-? Let it be anything.
"Yeah, Mugs Coffee and coffee at noon is fine but what about your classes? You said you had to catch up with others, right?" I asked.
"It's fine. My teacher said that he will give me some guidebooks and worksheets so it will be easy for me. And also, I have already covered the difficult parts in my previous college. All that is left are assignments and projects. So it's fine if I bunked. Do you have a problem with bunking, shorty?"
"Me?" I chuckled and rolled my eyes. "Do you remember where we first met, Bozo?" I asked, emphasizing the word 'bozo' with my eyebrow arching.
He gazed at me for a few seconds before saying, "Oh, yes. I forgot." He laughed.
"Let's go?" he asked, tilting his head.
Cute.
I nodded my head and we started to walk together.
