Adriana's POV
It's been 6 months since we cried our hearts out to each other. We've talked through it and went to couples therapy to cope with the loss. We decided to start trying again for a kid because our businesses are doing well and life is peaceful which is rare. Tyler and I decided that it would be a good to keep our mafia and our marriage separate cause it was way too problematic. We're neutral with each other which works fine for me and him.
I've began importing more drugs from the Japanese and let's just say business is booming. I'm having issues with smaller gangs and cartels because I'm basically a drug lord. I'm not worried about them because they're weak and small compared to me but together they can pose a threat. Yuri is tracking their movement though so I'll know if they do become an issue.
I'm at my office in my most earning restaurant, running numbers and all that fun stuff. I'm interrupted when some of my men drag someone in. They have a bag over their head and they appear to be unconscious.
"What the fuck is wrong with you people! Did any customers see?" I asked
"No ma'am but we found an Italian snooping around back and we brought him up here to you."
"Take off the sack." I order
I rub my temple when I see my older brother Xander
"You fucking half wits that's my brother." I growl
"Why was he acting so suspicious he could've came through the front?" I just shrug
"Take him to my car and send up Nikolai." I sigh and they obey
Shortly I see my second in command
"What's up?"
"Xander was being suspicious and he currently waiting in my car so I'm gonna head out. Can you stay tonight and oversee inventory because I think someone is stealing from us again. We keep losing wine."
"Sure but if my dad kills me it's on you." he joked
Dimitri is watching the twins today
I went to my car and made my way home
Suddenly I hear the click of a gun
"Seriously Xander do you want me to fucking crash you moron?" I roll my eyes
"Watch your mouth Adriana. I didn't know it was you whatever your men gave me has my vision blurry as hell." he complains
"You're lucky they didn't give you an early grave. You know how they feel about Italians."
"You're Italian."
"Not to them." I said as I pulled into my driveway
"Whatever but I really need your help."
"Wait let's go up to my office." he nods and follows me inside
"Thank God you're home early your fucking bear keeps growling at me." Tyler came running
"Were you being mean to him?" I asked with my hands on my hip
"Adriana you know he doesn't like me." before I could respond I heard a growl
"You see!" Tyler said and hid behind me
"Hi baby!" I coo and he comes running and holds his arms up like the little baby he is
"He still isn't gaining much weight. Did you feed him yet?" I ask Tyler
"Was I supposed to?"
"That's why he's growling you dunce he's hungry!" I go to the kitchen and get him his food
He eats and drink water like a happy little bear
"Why is he still small?" Xander asks
"Bears don't grow fully until they're a couple years old."
"Cool can we talk now?" I nod and lead him upstairs
"So what's going on dearest brother?"
"So right you're cool with the yakuza right?" he asks nervous
"Yeah why?"
"Well I'm well I uh,"
"Today Fratello!"
"I'm in love with their daughter!" he blurts out
"What the fuck she's a child?"
"No dumbass Ronin has an older daughter but she didn't go on vacation with them because she was with me."
"I haven't met her."
"She doesn't like all those stupid events." he explains
"Why are you telling me this?"
"Well I got her pregnant and they want to arrange her to marry someone else."
"Oh dear God, Xander why her?" I facepalm
"Please I know I'm an awful brother and I don't deserve any favor from you but please I love her so much and I want a family with her." I've never seen him so vulnerable
"Don't worry X1 I was gonna help you from the start. It's just a very difficult situation which I will deal with but for now congrats and propose to her."
"Is that smart?"
"Look if you value your life they need to see intention of you making her an honest woman out of her. I'll think of the rest and let you know."
"Thank you so much X2, I love you!"
"Okay enough sappy shit this isn't like you and it's making me uncomfortable. I honestly didn't think you could go this long without growling." he flipped me off and I laughed
"Well you can stay the night because the drug they used to knock you out will take some time to leave your system." he nodded and went downstairs
I sat in my office brainstorming
"ADRIANA!" they yelled and I ran downstairs
I found my brother and husband standing on the kitchen counter with a broom poking my cub
"What is wrong with you two?"
"Hes being a bad boy." Tyler said
"Don't call him that it makes him sad. Why would you poke him you know he doesn't like that?"
"He was growling at us." Xander said
"He's harmless."
"He bit the broom when I was sweeping."
"He doesn't like when people clean you know that. Don't provoke him."
"I'm gonna donate him to the zoo!" Xander growled
I gasped then smirked
"Shall I call ronin and tell him the news?"
"No I was kidding don't do that."
"Only if you watch Osorin for me next time I go away."
"Fine."
"Thanks fratello!"
I put my cub back down and went back upstairs
"No Tommy please!"
"Stop playing games Adriana!"
They yelled after me and I laughed my way up the stairs
