Lyra was a giggling mess as Ging carried her bridal style back to her room. Her arms were wrapped around his neck loosely.

"I told you not to drink that much or I would be carrying you back." Ging said as he glanced down to the girl, who poked his cheek.

"Hmm~ I kinda like this I can just be lazy and let you carry me around!" Lyra exclaimed as she laughed causing Ging to shake his head.

"I'm not going to carry you around for a year." Ging said as they approached Lyra's room, she snuggled her face into his chest.

"But you're so comfy!" Lyra mumbled against him, Ging smiled as he looked down at her.

"Open the door would you?" He said motioning his head towards the handle of her room. Lyra reached a hand down, turning the knob. Ging pressed his knee against the door causing it to swing open. As they entered the room he kicked his heel against the door shutting it quickly behind him.

"You need to sleep this alcohol off." Ging said as he gently laid Lyra down on the bed. She giggled as he pulled the covers over her. He stood up straight and as he started to leave Lyra grabbed his arm abruptly.

"Don't leave..." Lyra said in low voice it was almost a whisper. Ging glanced back to her, he hesitated for a moment before sitting on the floor against the bed.

"I'll stay here till you fall asleep then." He said pressing his back against the side of the bed. Lyra rolled on her side as she looked down at him.

"I'm sorry.." Lyra said trailing her words, Ging looked up to her raising an eyebrow.

"For what?" He asked awaiting her response.

"You having to deal with me.. I'm a bit of a handful.. you wouldn't be in this situation if it weren't for me." Ging shook his head dismissing her response.

"You shouldn't be sorry. I was the one that decided to bring you with me." He replied, Lyra studied him for a moment before rolling on her back her eyes now focused on the ceiling.

"Thank you for bringing me along with you. I want to be happy and travel with you, but it scares me." Lyra said studying the ceiling.

"Why is that?" Ging asked laying his head against the bed.

"You helped me start to feel like myself again, but when that ship blew up. It made me think of Kyushi and Yinu, I felt that pain all over again. I felt like I lost something important again.. and I snapped. You hold that power over me now Ging.. because I care about you, and it terrifies me.." Lyra let the words fall out of her mouth. She couldn't help what her brain was pushing out with the heavy alcohol in her system.

"I'm not going to leave you.. I promise. You hold that power over me too Lyra.. Happiness can be scary, because it can be taken away so easily. But you just have to hold onto it for as long as you can. I won't leave you, but you have to decide if you will leave me after a year." Ging said as he stared at the door a few feet away from them. Lyra glanced down to Ging, a small smiled placed itself on her lips.

"You're a good person Ging... I don't think that I could leave you at this point." Lyra said, as she pulled the blanket closer to her face. She didn't see it but Ging was smiling to himself.

"Goodnight Lyra." He said softly.

"Goodnight Ging."

Lyra woke up with a raging headache she winced as her eye opened. She slowly sat up and suddenly felt nauseous. Lyra attempted to quickly hurry out of the bed but her leg bumped into something.

She was surprised that he was he still sitting there. Lyra couldn't help but smile for a moment before her stomach twisted.

Ging reached up and rubbed his head, he glanced over to her from the same position he was in last night.

"Beating someone up when they carried you back to your bed?" Ging asked, but Lyra shoved her way past him barley making it to the toilet.

Her abdomen tightened as a burning liquid splashed into the toilet. Lyra was disgusted with herself as another round of the burning liquid came out. Ging walked calmly into the bathroom and grabbed a small rag quickly running water of it.

"Ging get ou-" This time when the harsh bile came up it caused Lyra drop drop her knees to the cold tile. Ging placed the cold rag on her neck gently, he then pulled her hair out of her face.

Lyra dry heaved for a few minutes and once the brutal attack stopped her body relaxed some. She quickly flushed the toilet, and took her hair back from Ging.

"You should shower im sure it will help." Ging said as he stood up holding his hand out for her. Lyra quickly grabbed it and he pulled her to her feet.

Lyra studied him, Ging was still wearing his suit but it had looked much more lax on him. His tie was loose and a few buttons on his shirt were undone. His hair was a bit messy and he looked pretty tired.

Lyra's eyes widened remembering what had happened last night. Her head wasn't fuzzy anymore other than the headache. So now she was thinking much more clearer.

We kissed.

Lyra thought to herself as her face began to heat up. She wished she had time to prepare herself she wasn't sure what to say or do.

"What?" Ging asked as he raised a brow at her. Lyra quickly shook her head and pushed her way past him. Ging followed behind her studying her behavior as Lyra quickly gathered her clothes.

"You should get back to your room, and we will meet back up." Lyra said as she hurried back to the entrance of the bathroom.

~~~~~
"You actually want me to fight you?" Lyra was astonished by Netero's statement.
"Did you think I meant you fight someone else?" The old man laughed and continued speaking.
"I would like to test your power for myself, take whatever preparation you need but you will only have a few hours. Beans will escort you to my desired location." Netero smiled to both of them and waved his hand signaling them to leave.
As Ging and Lyra were leaving Lyra couldn't help but to feel a twist in her stomach. She was scared, she knew that this man thought like Ging. He would be two steps ahead of her while she trailed behind.
How far is he willing to push me in this fight?
