I sat near the window and turned on the recording feature in my little snake recorders. "This thing on? I can never tell. Hey, Mom, Dad. If you find this recording, don't show it to Cooper or Lila, nor Nat and Nate. I don't want them upset."

"I don't know if you're ever gonna see these. I don't even know if y'all are still...God, I hope so. Today's day 21, no 22. You know, if it wasn't for the existential terror of staring into the literal void of space, I'd say I feel a little better today. The wounds have all healed, thanks to the blue meanie back there."

"Oh, you'd love her. Very practical. Only a tiny bit sadistic, but aren't we all? Uh, Tony's infection has run its course, he's okay now. Well, as okay as he can be."

"So, the fuel cells were cracked during battle, but they managed to fix 'em up and buy us about 48 hours of flight time. But, it's all gone and we're dead in the water. Thousand light years away from the nearest 7/11. Oxygen will run out tomorrow morning, and that'll be it. I know I said I was gonna stay away from the hero life, but I was really hoping to pull this off."

"But it looks like...well, you know what it looks like. Don't feel bad about me. I should probably lie down, rest my eyes. Please know, that when I drift off, it'll be like every night lately. I'm fine, totally fine."
