A LONG MONTH AND A HALF HAD PASSED SINCE THE FATAL NIGHT——miles had kept his feelings bottled in for entirely too long and it was beginning to eat him alive.
him and lexie were close-ish, just awkward around each other ever since their kiss.
consistent urges from timothée to go for lexie were bugging miles, he would ignore them.
however lexie had become extremely close with iris over the time span, she needed somebody to talk to about everything.

"okay if i tell you this you can't tell anyone!" lexie demanded as her and iris sat on lexie's bed,
iris held her hands up in surrender as she nodded vigorously, lexie sighed before she spit the damaging words out,
"miles and i kissed" she quickly said, iris' mouth fell open as her eyes widened to double their size,
"WHAT WHEN?!" she screamed, causing lexie to shush her harshly,
"sorry, sorry" iris apologetically said before she brought herself back to the topic.
"but what?! when?!" iris frantically asked with shock, slight excitement lacing her tone of voice
"a few weeks ago" lexie replied as she looked a bit sad about it as she shifted her gaze down, iris furrowed her brows,
"why do you look sad? what's wrong?" she asked in a soft tone of voice,
"i don't think he liked it, i don't think he likes me" she sadly replied, iris let out a small laugh at lexie's words,
"a-are you kidding me? why would you think something like that!" iris replied through slight laughter,
"first of all, he said he regretted the kiss, and then when i asked him if he really did he just replied with 'i cant give you the answer you want right now' like what the hell?!" lexie raised her voice a bit out of anger,
iris nodded before she stood up off of the bed,
"maybe he's confused, he might just need a little talking..." iris said as she thought,
"talking? what do you mean?" lexie asked out of confusion,
"leave it to me" iris assured.

iris was a good person, so naturally, she was bound to do good things.
and helping her two best friends get together was at the top of her list.
she took the useful information lexie gave her and strategically planned how to do go about the situation,
step two? getting answers from miles fairchild himself.
