Chapter 08

HIRO'S POV

"You coming, nerd?" I heard Gogo asked while climbing down the tower.

I hopped on the window edge. Where I normally sit before.

I hold on tight on the rope. I tied it on a hook on the top of the window.

"Look at the world so close, and I'm halfway to it!
Look at it all so big, do I even dare?
Look at me, there at last! I just have to do it
Should I? No. Here I go..." I jumped.

I hold on tight on the rope. Argh. It hurts you know.

I saw Gogo wide eyed. And she smirked.

When I almost landed on the grass, I hesitated for awhile to step on it.

And when I step on it, I stood up. Let go of the rope & lay on the grass.

"Just smell the grass! The dirt! Just like I dreamed they'd be!" I saw a flower beside me. The flower was flown away by the wind. I followed it.

"For like the first time ever, I'm completely free!" I felt a cold feeling on my feet. Water! I looked at the sky. So beautiful!

"I could go running, and racing, and dancing, and chasing
And leaping, and bounding, hair flying, heart pounding" I ran

"And splashing, and reeling, and finally feeling
That's when my life begins!" I sang as I was in a land full of... what do you call that? Oh. Trees.

"I can't believe I did this." I said in happiness

"I can't believe I did this!" I repeated

"I can't believe I did this! Haha!" I laughed nervously

"Father would be so furious." I whispered. Frustration running through my veins.

"That's okay! I mean, what he doesn't know won't kill him, right?" I walked to a cave.

"Oh my gosh, this would kill him." I said. I'm being crazy. I was on the cave, sitting by myself

"This is so fun!" I yelled as I swing to a tree.

"I am a horrible son. I'm going back." I said as I shook my head in depression

"I am never going back! Woo-hoo!" I rolled myself on the grass.

"I am a despicable human being." I bumped my head on the tree. Ow!

"Woo-hoo! Best. Day. Ever!" I said as I swing on a trunk.

GOGO'S POV

I heard Hiro sobs while sitting on a rock. Sigh. He's weird. He keeps on changing his emotions oppositely.

"Hmm" I said as I come near him.

"You know, I can't help but notice you seem a little at war with yourself here." I said sarcastically.

He sniffs. "What?"

"Now, I'm only picking up bits and pieces, of course. Overprotective father, forbidden road trip. I mean, this is serious stuff. But let me ease your conscience." I said as I saw a plant full of grapes.

"This is part of growing up. I mean. a little rebellion, a little adventure-that's good, healthy even!" I said as I eyed him.

"You think?" he asks as he looked up at me. How cute.

"I know. You're way over-thinking this, trust me. Does your father deserve it? No. Would this break his heart and crush his soul? Of course. But you just got to do it." I picked up a grape. Good idea Gogo.

"'Break his heart?'" he asks. I grinned a little while he looked away. Shocked.

"In half." I said

"'Crush his soul?'" he looked at me again. I removed my grin.

I squeezed the grape. "Like a grape." I said. Trying hard not to laugh.

"He would be heartbroken, you're right." He's being crazy.

"I am, aren't I? Oh bother." I said as I throwed the squeezed grape.

"All right, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm letting you out of the deal." I said while sitting beside him. Putting my hands behind my head.

"What?" he asked. Shocked.

"That's right. But don't thank me. Let's just turn around and get you home find your pan-and your frog-I get back my satchel, you get back a father-son relationship based on mutual trust and voila! We part ways as unlikely friends." I said as I pulled him to stand up.

"No! I am seeing those fire-!" I think he yelled a bit.

"Oh come on! What is it going to take to get my satchel back?" I yelled in frustration.

"I will use this." he smirked and showed me his frying pan.

We heard a ruffling sound from a nearby thickle. Hiro hid behind me.

Hiro gasped "Is it ruffians? Thugs? Have they come for me?" He said. Tsk. Scaredy cat.

A rabbit hops out of the thickle. I laughed.

"Stay calm. It can probably smell fear." I said. Laughing.

"Oh, uhm, sorry. Guess I'm just a little bit... jumpy." He laughed nervously. Silly

"Probably be best if we avoid ruffians and thugs, though." I said. Sarcastically.

"Uhm, yeah, that'd probably be best." He smiled.

"Are you hungry? I know a great place for lunch." I grinned at him. Placing my hands on my waist.

"Oh." I heard his stomach grumble. "Where?"

I chuckled.

"Oh don't you worry. You'll know it when you smell it" I smirked

I was on a Recreation Center of a Mountain yesterday & earlier. I somehow got signal last night so I got to update Chapter 07.
