Happy endings don't happen in real life though, Aoife knows that. If everything ended happily, then Cedric Diggory would not have died. Lord Voldemort would not be back, but he is.
So, happy endings are dead to Aoife. They're unrealistic, impractical even. It's better to live life out of the spotlight. If you don't start your story it can't end, and that's the way Aoife likes it.
That is, until she finds herself being pulled further towards the flame that is Ginevra Molly Weasley, and she is terrified she's going to get burned. With her best friends brother dead, her ex-girlfriend acting strangely, and her mother in denial about Lord Voldemort's return, she is juggling enough. The last thing she needs is more feelings.
