'I can't deny the fact that I am unlike the others on my team. Sure, we each have very unique personalities, but each of us share something with another. Beast Boy and Starfire had their love for kittens. Robin and Starfire were just about the cutest couple. Cyborg and Beast Boy had a never-ending black hole for a stomach.
My emotions make me more versatile then I realized. The thought of returning to my isolated state...the thought of hiding myself from them..I couldn't even think of it. So I do everything I can to experience life to the fullest. For my sake and theirs.'
"Whatcha got there, Rae?"
"Nothing." I leaned against Beast Boy's chest.
"It kinda looks like something," he smirked.
He reached for the book, but I used my magic to slap his hand away.
"Duuuude!" He squealed. "You promised you wouldn't do that anymore!"
"I did no such thing." I smirked.
"Well...I figured it was one of those unspoken things that happen when we started dating."
I shrugged.
Beast Boy stood next to me, anxiety wafting about him. He was nervous about something. His emotions overwhelmed me. There was only one thing that ever made him feel this way. I smiled internally.
"Did you need something?"
"I, uh," he blushed, "I was just thinking...there's this new cafe opening, and I was hoping we could go together?"
I found it hard to believe that after a month of dating he still got nervous every time he asked me on a date.
'He's so adorable!' Happy chimed.
'Another adventure!!!' Brave cheered.
'He's been really sweet lately...' Timid squeaked.
"Of course," I kissed him on the cheek.
