Present day, San Francisco.
"I just got off the phone with Scott and Stiles." Lydia walks into the office.
She was grateful for fresh clothes she bought from a nearby store. Chris or Isaac checked the window of the building often. They were in some kind of abandoned office. The place wasn't dusty it was just empty which meant someone still worked here.
"Who owns this place?" she asked Chris, who continued activating security protocols.
"It's mine. Now what did Scott say?" He dropped his tablet on the table and sank in the huge black chair behind the table. Isaac had his legs stretched on the table as he picked at his nails.
"Stiles is still mad at me for not making it to his reunion thing, but as we thought there's trouble in Beacon hills. Monroe's disciples are getting stronger, killing more of us. Chris, are you sure you can't help us find her. Scott can only hold the other Alphas for so long and we don't want a repeat of what happened with Deucalion." Lydia was being reasonable, she hated that people dying surrounded her life and sometime she prayed for it to end already.
"I'm doing whatever I can." Chris says. "It's not that easy for me now."
"Wait are taking about that woman, the one who tried to run the Argents?" Isaac suddenly took interest.
"The one Gerald brainwashed into thinking she could." Chris corrected.
Gerald thought Chris was the reason their family ended, but in reality he gave them a new life. No, Allison did. She showed them a better way. The stakes were higher now than when he was younger. He had to do the right thing.
Lydia sat on the second chair next to Isaac. She puts her phone down as she felt a vibration from the tablet Chris had given to use for the mission.
"Scott understands how important this is, but they can't come here to help us. The email I just received is from Stiles. We're going to find people who can help us. Some would be old allies or enemies. You may not know them." She turned to Isaac. "While you were fighting your battles with the Night watch so many things happened. Things even worse than the Nogitsune."
"As long it's not Peter Hale, I can work with anyone Scott chooses." Isaac said, taking his foot off the table.
"Peter has his Pack to worry about." Lydia opens the emails and swipes at the pictures. "This guy right here you should hate even more."
"Peter is an Alpha again?!" The news wasn't that much of a surprise. He was really ambitious when it came to power.
Isaac took the tablet, it displayed a picture of a man around his age, slight facial hair and brown leader jacket, watching his back while he walked.
"Who is this guy?" he asked.
"Theo Riken, an embodiment of pure evil, well he was back then. We'd like to believe he's changed but what he did we can't forget." Lydia blurted out.
"What did he do?"
"He killed his sister for power, lied his way into the pack, tried to kill Scott and take the power for himself, using his beta Liam to do his dirty work. The entire time he was working for the dread doctors and no one knew. He's a professional liar. Never trust a word that comes from his mouth." Chris explained.
"I already don't like him." Isaac remarks.
"Not like you would like anyone who tried to kill Scott." Lydia answers.
"Exactly."
There was tension in the room from just this guy alone. Isaac wondered how it would be for the others.
