Lexa's POV

My mind has been consumed by thoughts of Clarke since the bomb. We had the day off yesterday and I spent most of it catching up on a few days missed of sleep. It's Saturday now and she's all I can think about, I've thought about texting her but she's probably spending that day with her fiancé. She told me she confronted him about cheating but he promised her it was just working, I still feel like something fishy is going on. 'That's it, " I tell myself and back a back then head to the gym. I can't handle thinking this way Clarke is happy and she is with him. I pull up to the gym and go straight to the boxing arena. This is the only thing that can really clear my head, except for drinking, of course. I start to warm up when I hear a familiar voice from behind me. "Looking for someone to train with, " Gustus sys dropping his bag down by the wall. "Always, " I reply giving him a smile. We get in a quick warm-up then head to the mats. We nod at each other getting into our fighting positions. He lunges at me and dodge it easily and hit him while he's looking for me. "Getting a lot better I see," he says trying to attack again. "Yeah, I know, " I say blacking his attack. He lowers his hand for a split second and I take advance of that hiring him to square in the nose. "Damn, " he says not letting his guard down. I give him a small smile and wait for him to retaliate. After both of us got in a few more good hits he knocked me over and approaches me slowly. He offers and hand to help me up but instead, I sweep his leg and pin him. "Never let your guard down, you taught me that, " I say getting off of him and getting a drink. "Yeah, but I didn't think you were listening," he says moving over to his bag and doing the same. "I always am, " I sag packing up. "Yeah sure, what's going on you are never this into a fight?" he asks and I'm shocked he knew something was up. "Just stressed about some work stuff," I say not looking him in the eye. "All take that as I don't want to talk about it, " he says grabbing his bag and walking towards the door. "Whenever you're ready to talk I'll be there, till then my friend, " he says and walks out the door. At least I haven't been thinking about Clarke, "Damn it, " I curse at my own stupidity. I walk-off to the locker room and take a quick shower before I decide to go grab a drink. It's early evening by the time I got then so I order and beer and some fries while I watch the football game that was on. "Hey there stranger, " I hear a voice say as she takes a seat next to me. "Costia?" I ask the girl who I had a major crush on all throughout high school. "Yeah, how long has it been? What 6 years, " she says stealing one of my fries. "About that, " I say taking a sip of my beer. "What are you doing these days, " she asks signaling the bartender for a beer. "Well I'm a detective down at the Station, what about you?" I ask finally forgetting about Clarke. "Well...um actually I'm vising family right now, " she says sips of the drink the bartender finally got her. "Oh nice, where'd you move too?" I ask glancing back at the tv to check the score. "I've lived all over the place really, but right now it's New York."
"Oh nice!" I say looking back at her. A new song comes on from the speakers ahead and Costia says, "This is my jam, let's go dance." She's already dragging me off before I have time to respond. The dancing begins at a comfortable distance but as the night goes on and more alcohol is in our system we grow closer. "Do you wanna get out of here?" Costia whispers into my ear. I can feel her warm breath persuading me to say yes and that's what I do. On the cab ride to Costia's hotel, she would whisper seductively into my ear. This all made me feel guilty because of Clarke but maybe this is what I needed to get her out of my head, maybe I could fall for Costia instead. I woke up to heat on the right side of my body and I look down to see Costia. All I remember is bits and pieces of the night, making out on the bed as our hands exploring each other. I remember removing our clothes and starting a job that went long into the night. Last night I felt something but I know it wasn't with the blonde, blue-eyed sleeping peacefully cuddled into my side.
