Chapter 35

Clarke's POV

"Wake up you two," Raven said pounding on the door. "We are 30 minutes out and I really don't wanna walk in there and see you guys naked."

"We're up," I shouted back. Lexa groaned at the loss of warmth.

"What is it," she mumbled.

"Put your clothes back on we're almost there," I said, chucking her shirt at her. "But I would love to do this again later," I say, kissing her forehead after putting my clothes back on.

"Me too," she winks.

"I'll see you out there," I say, walking out of the room. I process everything that happened as I make my way down to the docking bay. 'She was about to die for me. I told her I loved her. She didn't die. We had sex. She told me she loved me back. And we aren't even officially dating!'

"So you two had fun," raven smirked. As she strolled up next to me.

"Yeah," I smiled, recalling the earlier events.

"Oooh, Griffin is whipped."

"Shut it," I blushed before opening the door to the docking bay. The team was all there gearing up for what could be the death of us. I left two people with Finn, Wells, and Jaha, who were tied up in the engine room still. Raven tried to find as much as she could about the island we were heading too. There was a one building looking to be some sort of lab in the middle of the island and a mansion a few miles inland. Lexa walked in shortly after me pulling on a bullet proof vest. 'Damn she looks sexy," I thought to myself.

"Raven go ahead and give the details," I say, grabbing a vest as well.

"Alright, the island has what looks to be a lab in the middle of an island, approximately 5 miles in. We assume that this is where the drugs are made. Now there is and mansion about 2.5 miles in, before the lab. There is a barrier after the beach. We aren't sure what it could trigger or do once we pass it, so we'll figure it out when we get there. We don't know about the number of guards, we don't even know if who we are looking for is there. Now that you know about the island I'll pass it on Woods and Griffin for the plan." Raven finished her speech. Me and Lexa made eye contact, debating who should talk.

"So we've decided to split into two teams," I finally talk. "One will go to the lab and the other to the mansion. Team 1 will be heading to the lab with Lexa," I hated the idea of not being with her and keeping her safe but I knew it had to be done this way. "The team will consist of Lexa, Monty, Roan, Riley, Gaia, and Echo. Now team 2 is with me, going to the mansion. It consists of me, Raven, Jordan, Hope, Miller, and Eric. Notice I did skip two, just as a precaution I want Murphy and Fox setting a perimeter at the top of the lighthouse. Take snipers and watch our backs. Another thing to note is we have no idea who the head is, so don't shoot to kill. Raven mentioned a barrier, so if it does trigger anything Monty and her will try and disable it. Keep a sharp eye and don't be stupid." I inform everyone and they all nod before finishing gearing up.

"Hey," I say, making my way over to Lexa.

"Hey," she says, giving me a sad smile, knowing what I'm thinking. "Everything will be okay." She pulls me in close and leans her forehead against mine. I don't say anything but hug her tight.

"Don't worry, I got her back Griff," Monty says, giving her a gun. It was an M16, a basic assault rifle with a few attachments, Lexa's first choice when it came to picking out guns for missions.

"I love you," I say and she kisses my forehead.

"I love you too, I promise I'll come back too you. Now go finish getting ready." I stared into her green eyes not wanting to move, but duty called.

"We are going to have to take the smaller boats the rest of the way," Raven shouted. We followed her out, separating into our teams. We stayed on high alert as we moved towards the island that might kill us all.
