Clarke's POV

Lexa parked the car outside the apartment that changed my life forever. The first apartment me and Finn bought together. The place we were supposed too start a family in. 'He's an asshat, plus there's a really cute girl sitting right next to me... Damn it Clarke, stop thinking like that, she doesn't feel the same.'

"You don't have to go in," she says, sensing my internal debate, just that it's not about going in.

"It's fine I have things to get, will you come with?" I ask.

"Of course," she responds, giving me a smile before getting out.

My anxiety started to rise on the elevator ride. 'What if his still there?' Lexa felt my anxiety rise and garbed a hold of my hand and intertwined our fingers, in an instant it went away. We stayed like that all the way down to apartment 319. I pulled out the key and slowly opened the door and released the breath caught in my throat. Looking around, almost everything was gone, he took anything that had any value.

"I can't fucking believe him," I yell.

"Don't worry, he'll get what's coming," Lexa's says and her voice makes me forgot everything that's happening, just for a minute.

"You know what, I think I might just head up to Arkadia this weekend. If you want you're welcome to join me," I say before walking off to the bedroom. Walking through the door I see a note sitting on the end table.

Clarke,

You are the love of my life, and I'm so sorry that I ruined it for us. I get it if you hate me and move on form me, but I will never stop loving you. No matter how much pain I caused you or our relationship just know, four years of love doesn't go away like that. I know one day you'll come to your senses and we will be together until the end of our days. I know the next time you see me I'll be getting arrested, but as soon as I'm done serving the time that I deserve you will be mine again. No matter how far you go, or who you are with, I will find you. We are meant to be together and nothing will stop that.

-Finn

My heart was almost beating out of my chest, I couldn't breath. Lexa walked up from behind me and I handed her the note, I watched as her jaw dropped. She ran over and embraced me in a hug. "He won't find you with me around, and yes I'll come with you," she whispered in my ear. I looked up and met her eyes. Her eyes are so beautiful, I could stare endlessly at them. My eyes glanced down at her lips and we both slowly moved forward, unsure if this is really happening. Our lips were inches apart, the ringing of a my phone stopped me from moving forward. We both backed away awkwardly and I stepped into the bathroom and answered whoever was calling. "What?" I ask, my breath still shaky from the event that almost happened.

"Chill, Clarke," I heard my best friend say on the other end.

"Well I'm sorry, what do you want?" I ask not caring how rude it sounds.

"I just wanted to check in on you, Abby told me what happened."

"Im fine, but I'll be coming up today with a friend," I say hoping it turns out it be more than friend soon. 'Knock it off Clarke.'

"Oooooh, whose this friend?," she asks.

"My partner from the station, Lexa," I respond, hoping she's doesn't say anything else.

"And do you happen to like this Lexa?"

"I don't know, but I can't anyways I just broke up with Finn," I say, trying to keep it together.

"Who cares he's an ass," she says.

"He is, but I don't know," I say hesitantly.

"If you like her, go for it."

"Alright, maybe. I'll text you if I need you to pick us up. Love you," I say, and hang up the phone before she can say anything else.

"Everything ok?" Lexa asks, standing up from sitting on the bed.

"Yeah, just raven. I'll finish up packing then we can head and get your stuff, sound good?" I ask while pulling out a bag.

"Yeah, I'll wait out in the car," she says before heading off. A few minutes later I walk out of the building and see Lexa waiting by her car. "You ready?" She asks, I nod in return. The car ride to her place was silent, neither of us mentioning what, almost happened. I waited in the car and booked our flight while Lexa ran in and packed a bag. Our flight leaves in about 2 hours and its a 20 minute drive to the airport. A few minutes later Lexa came out bag in hand. "All good?" she asked.

"Yeah, our flight leaves in 2 hours. So let's get going," I answered buckling my seatbelt.

"Alright," she says pulling out of the parking lot. I had enough of the silence so I turned on the radio. "YES!! I love this song," I say as Riptide by Vance Joy comes on. I start belting out the lyrics I know by heart and look over to see Lexa smiling and nodding her head to the beat. After singing a few goofy lines she finally chimes in and we go all out. "HERE'S THIS MOVIE THAT I THINK YOU'LL LIKE. THIS GUY DECIDES TO QUIT HIS JOB AND HEAD TO NEW YORK CITY," we sing at the top of our lungs. The song finishes off and we burst of laughing, her laugh is my new favorite sound. We finally pull up to the airport, we hop out and head to go get checked in for our flight. We board the plane and I called window seat. Lexa playful shoved me into our row, acting all mad. The faint glow of the city lights down below carried me off to sleep as I rested my head on Lexa's shoulder.
