"Ellie?!"

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I live here. What are you doing here?"

"I live here now too," I said.

"Wait, your my new sister?!" Kyle shouted.

Ouch. That one hurt.

"I guess so."

"Aww, you two met," a voice said.

I turned my head to look behind Kyle.

And I saw Mrs. Dawson standing in the doorway.

"Mom... we already knew each other. We're friends."

"Well, now your related! Kyle, Ellie is your new sister. And Ellie, Kyle is your new brother!"

"New sister?!" Kyle shouted.

"New brother?!" I said.

"I'll let you two hangout. Your father will be home around 4:00 PM and dinner is at 6:30. I'm going to go run some errands. Have fun!" Mrs. Dawson said, and then she walked away before we could say anything.

We just stood there and looked at each other.

"So," I began. "What now?"

"What now?" Kyle mocked, in a high pitched voice.

"I don't sound like that," I said.

"Yes you do."

I rolled my eyes. "I'm bored. Can we just do something?"

"Well, Austin is coming over soon, do you want to hangout with us?" Kyle asked.

I nodded. "Sure, why not?"

He shrugged and then we just sat down and talked for what seemed like an hour.

Ding Dong!

"I'll get it," I said.

Kyle nodded.

I ran downstairs and opened the front door.

It was Austin. He looked so confused.

"Hey, Ellie. What are you doing here?" Austin asked.

"So, you know how I was being sent to another family?" I asked.

"Yeah."

"Well, I'm now Kyle's sister."

His jaw dropped. "What?!"

Why was he so loud?

"Yeah..." I said, because I didn't know what else to say.

"How about we go upstairs and talk about this with Kyle?" I asked.

He nodded.

He walked inside and I shut the door behind him. Then, we walked upstairs and into Kyle's room.

"Hey, Kyle," I said.

"Hey," he said, annoyed.

I hate this just as much as he does...but I'm still grateful that I ended up with someone I know instead of with someone that could hurt me just like my brothers did.

My brothers...

They abused me. They hit me. They punched me. They kicked me.

They bullied me, for years.

My own family.

They betrayed me. They hurt me. They scarred me for life.

I'm traumatized by the ways they hurt me.

The pranks. The pool. The never-ending torture. The cuts.

It was awful.

But, I still haven't had my dream come true yet.

Death.

My dying wish.

When will this just all be over?

"When will what be all over?" Austin asked.

"Did I say that out loud?" I asked.

Kyle and Austin nodded.

"How much did I say out loud?"

"Only the part about when this will be all over, whatever that means," Kyle said.

Austin looked at him and shrugged.

"Okay, well I'm gonna go to my room and unpack my things," I said.

"Alright. Austin and I will be playing video games," Kyle said.

I nodded and walked across the hall and into my room.

I unzipped my suitcase to find something in there.

A photo that I have never seen.

It was a photo of Daniel.

But why?

Why would a photo of Daniel be in my suitcase?

I continued unpacking my bags and put the photo of Daniel next to my bed.

I'm glad that they shipped my bed and stuff as well.

My mom...I mean, old mom told me that they're turning my room...I mean old room into a guest room.

Austins here...

Wasn't there something I needed to tell him?

No...wait, yes! There is!

I need to tell I'm about what happened in Los Angeles.
