HEADCANONS!

There was a whole comment thread (in Quotev) talking about what it would be like if Regulus was actually alive and able to raise Essie and well... It got me interested so I made all this:

Let's start off with the general side of things...

* Not much is different personality wise with Essie if Regulus was alive and he was able to raise her

* she'd be... filthy fucking rich tho... and super spoiled cuz Reg just doesn't know how to say "no" to her

Essie: Hey dad can I buy an island? :D

Regulus: Yeah sure how many??? :)

* but she's not the bitchy kind of spoiled rich girl. she'd still be her peppy, sweet self just with a lot of bling bling 💰💎💎

* OH AND SHE WOULD HAVE A BRITISH ACCENT! YES THAT IS THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE FROM THIS ESSIE AND CANNON ESSIE 🇬🇧 

Okay now onto specifics!

* Let's say in the HP side of things, everything's fine and dandy. Reggie went and told big brother Sirius, who told the Order about the horcrux, they go horcrux hunting (while Kreacher babysits Essie duh) and finally defeat Voldemort yay

* which means HARRY HAS HIS PARENTS 👏 👏 👏 👏

(which also means he's less angsty lol)

* Snape's still a dick tho smh

* but anyways

* Because Reggie helped take down Voldy Moldy and rejected all Pureblood beliefs, the Black fam is Not Happy™ with him and they are ESPECIALLY furious that he went and had a BASTARD BABY with someone who may or may not be a witch

* He's not gonna let them in on the whole demigod and "greek myths are real" thing ok, he does not trust his psycho family with that kinda secret. They'll probs try and take advantage of his kid's powers and that's a huge no-no for him

* now that the war's over, he can finally get some well-needed bonding with Sirius :D with Essie included of course cuz he's rarely without his daughter now

* Sirius thinks his baby niece is ADORABLE. absolutely loves the kid and everything and he can see how happy Reggie is with her

* but then Regulus needs to leave the room to grab a bottle of milk...

* The second he's gone.... BAM! *Antichrist mode activated*

* Essie is screaming and wailing,, her eyes are glowing and things are flying around

* Sirius is screeching and cowering in a corner. Poor man's already been through a war, but he's never been so fucking scared before

* DEMON BABY IS WORSE THAN VOLDEMORT!!!!!!

* then Regulus comes back and Essie just... calms down?????

* Regulus sees the mess in the room and immediately blames it on the Sirius

* Sirius:  👁👄👁

* Sirius whole-heartedly believes the kid's the antichrist and keeps begging Regulus to get her exorcised or some shit, but Regulus is all "Sirius wtf are you talking about, my baby is an angel??? how dare u" 

* Lol, but fr, every time Reggie leaves, Essie gets all sad and waily and DESTRUCTIVE. He is literally the only one who has never experienced The Antichrist (aside from Kreacher) everyone else is terrified of her when Reggie's gone
