"Crying doesn't show that you're weak. It shows that you've faced pain enough. It shows how strong you are."

She woke up from the nightmare with sunshine peeking brightly through the windows. Sweat beads on her forehead and tears flowing heavily through her eyes. Her father's last words echoed through her mind making her break into louder sobs with each passing second and that's when her phone rang which she accepted by mistake when she was supposed to decline.

He was really excited to call her but hearing her sobs, his excitement turned to fear and he spoke in a loud voice, "Hello?" His voice raspy yet scared. And she knew now that he had heard her crying. This was the first time someone had come to know she was crying...

"Hi" she said while trying to cover the crybaby voice as she called it had developed.

He was still surprised yet happy to hear her. Maybe she was alright, at least physically, but mentally, it was debatable.

Hearing no response she asked,"Don't you have to be stupid somewhere else?" trying to find a way to end the conversation after all.

"Not until the next two hours" His voice filled with a cheeky smile also managed to bring a small smile on her tear streaked face.

"Now, little nerdy boy, why have you called me early in the morning?" Her voice now a bit normal and relaxed than before.

"Well, I couldn't find anybody to torture so I thought about you..." His voice trailed off while she said,
"I hate you" but the playfulness wasn't hidden.

"Why, I'm lovely" he said with mock hurt.

"I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong."

But then she had to be ready for her College and the phone was soon hung up. Still instead of the frown on her face because of her father's words now

There was a smile because of a mysterious boy!
