"Everything is not as simple as one tries to imagine."

His feet felt too tired as he heard his alarm ringing loudly as he remembered the last college day. But it was Monday again and he was left without an option. Though his sore eyes were too tired to open, he got up from the bed to get ready for his college.
-----------------------------------------------------------
She woke up perfectly at the time to go to her college. Afterall, she was working all day to make ends meet and pay for her fees and reach her dream along with making payments for her appartment she had bought on rent. And with that, she was ready for the lectures.

-----------------------------------------------------------
"Oh, there goes nerdy!"
"You can still walk after Friday, huh?" Their loud laughter echoed through the hall which was now empty.
----------------------------------------------------------

"Can you see her glare?" "How angry she looks!" "Her face is just the epitome of ugly!" They said in hushed whispers as she entered the lecture room. And yet she could clear hear them. But still her head was held high

-----------------------------------------------------------
"Are you okay Atharva?"

His mother asked as he returned back and though their faces still haunted him, he gave her a convincing smile and no one other than his best friend could tell was fake. "Yes, I am okay."
----------------------------------------------------------

"Why hasn't the cake reached on time, Riya?" And with that she faced a harsh glare. It was just a minute late. Yet, here she was.
"This is the last time I'm letting you go."

And the owner muttered, "No wonder her parents left her on her own."
-----------------------------------------------------------
Though he said he was okay when he rushed to his bedroom, his body was badly bruised as if punched vigorously. His eyes red from the pain.
And he was left alone in the agony.
-----------------------------------------------------------

Both of them looking outside the window, raining heavily on the streets, pitter patter of the raindrops and loneliness that was slowly engulfing them was maybe dissolving a bit with that water.
