6 months later
Jessie took a deep shaken breath as she grabbed her phone. She wiped the tears off her face as she listened to the dialing sound
"Tony... please, I need to disappear and leave" Jessie cried as she looked to make sure Steve wasn't home
"What did he do!?" Tony asked, enraged as he heard her mumble those words
"No... it's not like that... I just... Tony I can't stay, I need to leave but I know he won't accept it because he..." Jessie cried as she patted the head of her two year old, as he hugged her leg.
"Is there anything valuable in there?" Tony asked
"N-no... just some of George's baby things, please" Jessie said
"1 minuet" Tony said, by the sound of it, in a suit flying over. Jessie grabbed a few bags of their needed stuff and she ran out to the back garden. Tony soon landed and grabbed the two and flew then to his new house.
"I can't stay here with you guys" Jessie said, they had made her feel comfortable in their home over the last hour
"Why not?" Pepper asked
"Because, you're 6 months pregnant, my two year old son needs me and Steve would soon find me here..." Jessie explained
"Why are you so desperate to escape him?" Tony asked
"There was no reason besides... we had been fighting a lot more recently... over stupid things.. anything really, then he brought up Peg and Bucky... I just had enough Tony... I would've gone to Rhodey but he is in California, my amnesia had cleared up until I slipped backing down in... I wacked my head and it cut open... Steve rushed me to the hospital and it caused a bunch of amnesia over the arguments and parts of the last 6 months" Jessie explained
"Are you sure?" Tony asked
"It isn't him intentionally doing it, it is grief. I can see it in his eyes, it's how he looked at me on the camp after we heard Bucky was dead and sent a condolence letter to me in 1942" Jessie said wiping away her tears.
"Its okay, look you can stay here, but if you aren't going to, let us get you someplace close by... Tony can get Rhodey to help create a whole new life..." Pepper said
"I want to keep in contact with you two, Rhodes and maybe Nat... that's it" Jessie explained and Tony nodded
"Why don't you help Pepper prep out the room for our little girl? I can get working on some new life for you and Georgie"
"Thank Tony!" George smiled
"Come on baby, let's go decorate Morgans room" Jessie smiled as she, Pepper and George went upstairs. Jessie helped build up a crib and place a lot of things up in the room and George done a cute drawing to put up on the wall.
"It looks amazing... I wish this one had this" Jessie said
"You done amazing at the compound through that birth" Pepper said
"I basically kept killing your soon to be husband then reviving him, unintentionally" Jessie laughed
"Well, Tony knew no different... kind of scared to go through it all" Pepper said
"Are you serious? Pepper, you are strong and amazing! The amount of shit you have survived, I am surprised with scares you the most" Jessie laughed
"It was your 25th Birthday a few days ago" Pepper said
"It wasn't important" Jessie said
"No, it is to us" Tony said from the hallway, they gave her a card and a box. Jessie read the card
'Dear Auntie Jessie, can't wait to meet my soon to be favourite God mommy! Happy birthday! ~ Morgan'
"That is adorable! I feel so honoured" Jessie said trying not to tear up.
"We decided, you as godmother, Rhodey as godfather... our close little square" Tony said as he hugged Jessie
"Do I even dare open the box, or am I going to cry?" Jessie asked
"Well... maybe cry?" Tony stated, Pepper had a huge smile on her face as she watched the brunette open the box. It had some very sentimental thing inside it. Jessie's face softened as she pulled out the items one by one
"My SSR items... I though Peg had the last" Jessie said and Tony shook his head
"When we moved here, I found a huge box my dad kept... his efforts to try track you down" Tony explained. She picked up a few pictures of herself, Peg and Howard together then some others of childhood photographs.
"I can't thank you enough for this. It means the world to me" Jessie smiled as she hugged her two best friends.
"Am I late?" Rhodey asked
"Rhdoey! I thought you were in Cali" Jessie smiled as she wiped away the tears
"A little buddy. She got the box" Tony said
"One last surprise" Rhodey said handing Jessie a smaller one. It was a diamond pendant on a golden chain
"It was your families... rumoured to have been passed down generations, it was found in your room hidden in a box-"
"- titled Happy 25th Birthday Jessica" Jessie finished remembering the box her mother left her.
"I love you guys so much" Jessie said as she hugged them.
"Uncle Rhodes!" George said, finally paying attention
"Hey buddy, wanna go find some monsters in the lake?" Rhodey offered
"Yeah!" George yelled excitedly. Jessie giggled as she watched George leave with Rhodes, before turning back to Pepper after Tony finished putting the necklace on her.
"So, wonder what Morgans going to be like... if shes anything like Tony, I pity you Pepper so much" Jessie laughed
"The child would be a genius" Tony argued
"And a total pain in the arse. Now I can say that as Tony, you are just like your father. Flirty, all fun until you meet the one, and you realise it and you settle down and have a child" Jessie explained
"Add that to your wedding speach" Pepper laughed
"Serious though, Howard flirted with Peggy, basically all the time they were together. It was horrific to watch but amusing how fast she shut him down... then it was as many agents as he could find" Jessie explained
"Looks like your amnesia is better" Pepper smiled
"It is weird, it's like since the coming out of cryo is a horrific blur but up till Thanos... I remember all of that still then since me and Steve moved out is slight blurs" Jessie sighed
"Well... it will all get easier one day Jessie, it just takes a lot of memory practice and you will get it all back" Tony said
"Hmm, you have a point" Jessie sighed and she looked down and the three adults walked downstairs and Tony handed Jessie some papers
"What is it?" She asked
"New identity, more safe for you and George then... or shall I say Melinda and James" Tony mocked
"Melinda? So my son gets his uncles name, and I get a random one" Jessie asked
"Well... it was under pressure okay!" Tony tried to defend himself
