The next day

Jessie woke up with Rhodey already up by the window

"Who drugged me this time?" She asked noticing her headache as she walked upto Rhodes and wrapped herself in his arms

"Bucky" Rhodey laughed

"Did you sleep?" Jessie asked and he shook his head
"Go Rhodes, go see Pepper... I can go later, it would mostly be for you" Jessie smiled and Rhodey kissed his fiance

"I love you" Rhodey said

"I love you too" Jessie smiled and he left. She got up and grabbed her black dress and tights. She put it on and put her hair up in a bun before walking down to the lounge. She rolled her eyes looking at her brother and grabbed a pillow and threw it at him
"James Buchanan Barnes, get your little arse up" Jessie laughed

"Okay! Okay, you are definitely a mom now" Bucky groaned as he woke up

"Well, drug me to sleep again and see what happens" She warned

"So mean" Bucky said throwing the pillow back at her, but she caught it

"Where'd Sam go?" Jessie asked putting it down on the chair, Bucky smirked as he thumped the chair and soon heard an ow come from Sam
"Regret asking, get up... also can you wake up George, Rhodey usually does it otherwise I would but we will run late" Jessie explained

"Oh fine" Bucky said getting up and walking over to Georges room. Jessie walked to Lucia's woke the three year old up

"Where are we going?" Lucia asked

"To... remember uncle Tony... but you can see Morgan" Jessie answered

"Okay" Lucia yawned and Jessie grabbed a cute black skirt and blouse for Lucia and some red hair bow. She got Lucia dressed and walked her into the lounge and started to french braid Lucia's hair.

"Mom, where is the pancakes?" George asked

"Try near the bread" Jessie answered

"Found them!" He yelled.

"How do you cope?" Bucky asked with a small laugh of amazement

"Rhodey makes it easier... we started to get good at multitasking over the last 2 months since Rhodes is back with the government... away for months most times, but we work... we work now anyway" Jessie explained as she finished Lucia's hair and put the bow at the top
"Done princess, go ask Georgie to make you some breakfast" Jessie added

"Do you happen to have my clothes?" Bucky asked

"Well, where else did your shit from that crappy apartment went? It's in the spare room" Jessie laughed

"You seem in a good mood" Sam said

"Got to act fine, it reflects on those two otherwise... plus I can get more control of these powers if I act calm..
Just funerals are a not helpful place to go when I can literally feel grief as if it was a knife" Jessie explained

"Yeah, they have improved though" Bucky said coming back in

"I know! I mean its impressive, I haven't used them... well, since this" Jessie said hiding her arm under a blazer and gloves

"What even happened?" Bucky asked

"I was... at my old place, about 10 ish hours after they severely injured me... they broke into my house and I jumped in the way so Rhodey was fine, I was out cold... next thing I knew I woke up without it. Got lost in surgery" Jessie explained
