Soon Pepper and Tony arrived with Morgan.
"Happy birthday" Pepper said as she hugged Jessie
"Thank you!" Jessie said
"What is it now? 28" Tony said and Jessie nodded
"Yeah... impressive" Jessie laughed.
"We missed your 27th?" Pepper asked
"Well... it's actually my 38th... I am 10 years older, I finally got a few memories back after I found a journal with 10 years out of cryo for Hydra" Jessie explained
"But no, that's when... I was 6 and a half months pregnant with Lucia, me and Rhodey were at Wakanda with George to see how they were coping" Jessie added answering Pepper
"Right... well this is twelve years in one" Tony smiled
"You know what I thought was crazy? We have had half of the population wiped away, yet here we are. Me and Rhodey are dating, you two are married. And we all gained a kid" Jessie said as she hugged Lucia.
"Yep and I brought a Llama as well" Tony smiled
"Poor Pepper" Jessie said
"Yeah, its eaten up half my plants" Pepper answered
"Small price for such a great animal" Tony stated
"I'll have to take a look" Jessie laughed
"You'll love her, we basically have the goal to have a farm" Tony said
"Not surprised" Jessie laughed
"Anyway, enough of your Llama" Pepper said
"Our Llama" Tony corrected
"Whatever Tony. Anyway, here is your birthday present" Pepper said and handed Jessie a small book. Jessie opened it up to see many photos from her time from her accident
"Awe Pepper, Tony it's amazing!" Jessie said holding back tears of happiness.
"I told you she would like it" Pepper smiled at Tony
"Maybe a bit too much" Tony said looking at Jessie crying a little.
"I'm fine, I just love it so much" Jessie said wiping a few tears away.
A few hours later
The babysitter arrived and took care of the three children. Jessie wore her new purple dress and some white heels and jacket while she walked out to see Rhodey in a suit
"This is gonna be a fun one" Jessie laughed and then Pepper and Tony came back inside, Pepper in a cute white dress and Tony in a suit with a red tie
"Ready to go?" Pepper asked
"Of course, Pepper... Riley there is a schedule on the fridge for my two and one for Morgan. Any issues please do call" Jessie said
"When did you get Morgans schedule?" Pepper asked
"I know you well enough" Jessie smiled
"Honey, she has enough practise to look after them" Rhodey said
"I know, I just hate leaving them" Jessie said
"It will be okay Miss Barnes. I have everything under control" Riley said and Jessie smiled. The 4 adults walked down to a limo, which Happy was driving.
They soon arrived at this club Tony picked.
"I'm surprised it is open, most clubs aren't" Jessie said
"I hired it out" Tony explained and the 4 walked inside to see Nat already in there waiting
"Oh my gosh! Hey!" Jessie said and hugged her best friend
"I got you a gift" Nat smiled and handed Jessie a little box. Jessie opened it to see a small knife with Jessie engraved on the side.
"I love it!" Jessie said and put it back in the box. She kept it with her as they sat down for the meal.
It didn't take long for the dancing to start. Jessie had herself leaning on Rhodey as they swayed a little in time together.
"We should dance more often" Jessie said
"Well, dancing isn't my thing" Rhodey answered
"I can help make it your thing" Jessie laughed as she leaned her head on his shoulder.
"Maybe" Rhodey laughed
"Well, we should head back soon" Jessie said
"Jessie, listen to me. You got to relax" Rhodey said and Jessie nodded.
"I love you so much" Jessie smiled
•2 months later•
"Morning" Rhodey yawned as he woke up, waking up Jessie at the same time.
"Hey isn't it your 45th Birthday soon?" Jessie asked
"Yeah... can't believe you're still 7 years younger" Rhodey said
"Actually... I'm like 98 really, but just appear as 28... well 38" Jessie laughed
"Now I don't know if I should feel young or old" Rhodey laughed
"Both, I can't believe I found that 10 years of my life. I thought I was still in my 20s, not nearly 40" Jsssie laughed
"You look amazing for nearly 40" Rhodey smiled
"Yeah and you look younger than 45" Jessie laughed
"Well, we are in it with a bunch of others in their 40s and 50s" Rhodey answered
"Doesn't feel like it. What 7 years of knowing everyone know... 24 ish years of knowing Steve... god I wish Buck was here" Jessie said
"He probably misses you too" Rhodey smiled
"I don't know... well, we will see what happens" Jessie smiled
