Chapter Twenty Three

I'm sorry I didn't upload yesterday like I said I would. My grandmother was emitted to the hospital for a second time within a week because she had a stroke. Not only that but my sister has been extremely sick and has been in and out of the doctors office. So I've been a little stressed, but anyway I dedicated this chapter to tiffanyharvey100 because she has been dying for me to write this chapter! Enjoy!!

Danielle's Prov:

I walked with Luke hand and hand into the lake house. As we walked in I saw a bunch of pictures of Luke and some other people standing with them. I immediately knew that they were Luke and Tabby's parents. I could definitely tell where they got their good looks from.

I let go of Luke's hand to go and walk over to a picture on the wall. I couldn't help but be memorized by the picture. The picture was taken here, and you could see Luke, Tabby, their parents, and one other girl standing there smiling widely at the camera. They all looked so happy and carefree, you could feel the love that they had for one another.

"That was Lacy." He said to me as he made his way over where I was. He pointed at the girl that Luke had his arm around. To say Lucy was beautiful would be an insult. She was absolutely gorgeous. She had brown shoulder length wavy hair and beautiful bright blue eyes. Her body wasn't super skinny or big, it was right in the middle, she was perfect.

"She's gorgeous." I said to Luke as I turned to look at him.

"Yeah she was. But beauty is only skin deep sometimes. That picture was taken the day before everything happened. I can remember thinking my life was perfect, that I had everything I would ever need or want. Then within minutes it was all taken away from me." I looked at Luke and noticed his eyes were watery. I went over and wrapped my arms around him, he instantly hugged me back.

We stayed like this for a while, enjoying each others company. I knew he needed sometime to get himself together. He had turned his head and was now breathing deeply into my neck. We only stayed like this for a minute more before he moved away from me. I looked up to see he had a small smile on his face. I couldn't hep but want to grab him and take the pain away.

"Okay enough of that for right now, I have a surprise for you." Luke said to me as he moved over to one of this bags and grabbed a blindfold from it. He walked back over to me and motioned for me to turn around. I did as he wanted, I closed my eyes as be put the blindfold over my eyes.

"You need to stop squirming love." Luke said to me as he lead me back outside.

"I can't help it, I'm excited to see my surprise." I could hear him laugh from the side of me.

"Your cute when your excited, do you know that?"

I didn't respond, instead I just stuck my tongue out at him. I heard him laugh again as he continued to lead me to my surprise. "Okay, I am going to take your blindfold off now, but I want you to keep your eyes closed." Luke said to me as he undid my blindfold. I nodded my head letting him know that I understood.

I felt the material moved away from my face. "Okay love, open your eyes. " I opened my eyes quickly to see Princess and another horse standing in front of me. I couldn't help but squeal with joy. I was beyond happy because I was finally going to be given my horseback riding lesson. Ever since Dan told me he would teach me it's all that's been on my mind. But so much has happened in the past month that we didn't have time for my lessons.

I ran over to the fence and waited for Princess to come over to me. It didn't take long for her to make her way over to where I was. She started to rub her head against my hand. As she did so all could think was how did they manage to get her here. She pretty much gave everyone trouble, except for me.
