Hyunjin

The two boys had first seen one another in SOPA. We all know that Leon didn't attend SOPA but his member Mark Lee did. So the boy was briefly in Leon's sight at around January 2018 when the younger boy seemed to be waiting for Mark. The boy remembered vividly as many were whispering about Ash as he just debuted that month also.

The two got closer because of the introduction by Leon. It was in 2019 when Hyunjin was visiting Leon at his studio in Labyrinth Hub Korea when there was another boy inside also. It turned out to be Ash from NCT. Hyunjin was shocked to meet the barely younger boy. The younger apologized first but it brought a smile to Hyunjin. That was how their friendship started.

They might not see each other often but both would jump at the opportunities they can. Both would hype each other's dancing so much too! Hyunjin would be one of the few people to take pictures of Ash. As the young boy preferred to stay behind the camera but he couldn't help but just say yes to Hyunjin.

Seungmin

Seungmin met Ash only when his other members did too. He already heard of Ash of course on television and heard him in music. Besides that, he also heard about Ash through brief mentions of Leon and Hyunjin.

NCT Dream and Stray Kids were together after both groups picked up the performers for the collaboration. Initially, they thought that they were to be picked up by their managers but one bailed as there was another matter important to attend to. So they had only one car and that wouldn't fit them all. So the NCT boys decided to call someone, at first no one was sure who it was until the said boy arrived. It was none other than Ash. The boy introduced himself and was the one to drive the "Cheek Touch" boys to the restaurant as the other members took another car.
