Chapter eleven

Anna's POV

"No. I know what you are about to say and no. I bought this for myself." Owen says sharply as he drinks the milkshake in his hand.

"But don't you just love me and wanna share it with me." I say playfully as I take it out of his hands.

He rolls his eyes as he watches me drink out of his milkshake.

"Movie night at my place tonight!" Jermey tells us as he walks past us.

Owen quickly grabs his drink back from me as he glares at me.

"Did you guys just drink from the same drink?" Madi asked us as she looked disgusted.

"Yep." Owen replies as he takes another sip of his drink.

Madi shakes her head as she wraps her arm around me.

"Can I get a ride from you to Jeremys house?" She asks me in an excited tone.

"Owen can you give me and Madi a ride." I ask him playfully as I bat my eyelashes.

He glares at me as he shakes his head.

"I don't understand why you have a car and a license if you are never going to use them." Owen complains to me.

"Well... Charlie drives me to practice because we live together and I like making you drive me home." I say playfully as I nudge his arm.

"Yes... I can drive you both to Jermeys." Owen mumbles as he gives up.

"Yeah..... I'll drive." I say as I smirk at him.

Owens eyes widen as he shakes his head. I take Madis hand as we run towards Owens car.

"No... no...no... you are not crashing my baby. It's my car... I drive!" He yells at me as he runs after us.

I get into his car and lock all the doors. Owen gives me an angry look as he tries to open the locked door. He bangs on the window as I stick my tongue out at him. I roll down the window as I laugh at him.

"Can I help you?" I ask him playfully.

"Unlock the doors or I'm making you walk." Owen says sharply as he stares into my eyes.

Madi gasps as she laughs.

"If I win this staring contest I get to drive." I say playfully as I continue to stare into his eyes.

He sighs as he doesn't blink. My eyes start to water but I really wanted to win. I clap in front of Owens eyes causing me to cheer as he blinks.

"You cheated!" He yells in disbelief.

"Loser!" I yell as I unlock the passenger seat.

He aggressively gets into the car and dramatically slumps into the seat. He hands me his keys and I start the car. I start to pull out of the parking lot but almost run over the curb causing Owen to nearly have a panic attack.

"Don't... please.... stop... why... push that.... don't put your foot...." Owen frantically told me as he tried to control how I drive.

"Can you relax?" I say playfully as I glance over at him.

"Such a back seat driver." Madi mumbles as she shakes her head at Owen.

I continue to drive but I run through a red light causing Owen to sit up and lean over towards me.

"Who taught you how to drive?" He asks me in disbelief.

He nervously runs his hands through his hair as he watches me to make sure I don't crash his car.

"We are fine.... calm down." I tell him sharply.

"I did kinda fear for my life when that car nearly hit us." Madi says playfully.

"See! I'm not the only one fearing for their lives." Owen says nervously as he holds on tightly to the handle above his head.

"Now you know why I never drive." I mumble as I focus on not killing us.

Every time I turned a corner owen tightened his grip on the handle bar causing me to roll my eyes. We arrive at Jeremys house in one piece. Owen dramatically exits the vehicle and kisses the ground.

"I thought I would never see you again." He says dramatically.

"Shut up." I say sharply as I kick his leg.

He stands up and motions for me to give him his keys back.

"You are never driving me again." He says as he shakes my head.

"I thought it was fun." Madi says as she laughs.

We all head inside Jeremys house.

"Hey guys... just pick a place on the couch and the movie will start soon." Jeremy tells us.

Charlie was already sitting on the couch and Madi sat next to him. I sat down next to Madi and Owen sat down next to me. The couch was kinda small so my leg was practically on top of Owens. Being close to him always made me nervous.

"You missed it Charlie... Anna literally almost killed us on the way here." Owen tells Charlie.

"Really? How?" Charlie asks him as he laughs.

"Well shes a terrible driver." Owen tells him causing me to smack his arm.

"Rude." I whisper at him.

"You let her drive? I fear for my life everytime I let her drive." Charlie says playfully as they all laugh.

"Okay... we get it I suck at driving." I mumble as I sigh.

"Hey... it's just a joke... your not terrible...your just not great." Owen says as he laughs.

"Wow I feel so much better." I reply sharply.

"You know what....you can drive me whenever you want. You aren't that bad you just need some more practice and I can help you." Owen says softly.

"Okay." I reply as a smile forms on my face.

"I'm kinda cold." I mumble as I realize how cold the house was.

Owen got up and grabbed a blanket and spread it across both of our bodies. Owen rested his hand a little bit behind my head. I wanted to rest my head on his shoulder and cuddle up to him but I was to nervous.
