"Hotch" you say looking up at him. He hummed in response. You could feel his chest vibrate. His brown eyes were still melted into yours and they still had that warm look to them. You stared at him for a bit, not in a creepy way but you were just admiring how beautiful he was. The way his lips were plump and pink from the kiss , the way his soft brown hair perfectly frames his face, and how perfect he was in general.
You felt safe wrapped in his arms. You always felt safe around him but in his arms the dangers of the world cancelled out. "I like this" you say resting your head back on his chest. He slowly began to sway his body and you naturally followed along. "I like this too" he said giving you a little smile. He was so heavenly.

He wrapped his arms tighter than before and kept swaying his body side to side. The room was quiet and the lighting was dim. You were so tense at the begging of this case but this was a perfect was to destress. You both stayed silent for a few seconds just enjoying each other's company. Hotch rested his head on top of yours. You would've never thought of this happening. Maybe it could just be a one time thing but you were really hoping it wasn't and so was Hotch.
He knew work place relationships weren't the best thing. Of course he's never been in one but he's observed over the years. He knew between the both of you that there was more than a boss and colleague relationship. He's noticed the way you look at him and luckily you hadn't noticed the way he looks at you. At least he thought you didn't but you always did. After the divorce with Hayley it seemed as if everything went downhill for Hotch.
The team obviously knew about it and when you heard you knew this was the perfect way to repay him for everything he does. You grew closer and closer by the days. When you offered to take care of Jack it was a big deal for Hotch. You explained to him that you were perfectly capable of taking care of Jack and still focusing on work. You also told him that he could use the extra hand and you loved Jack so it wouldn't even feel like a chore. You had met Jack before and he was the sweetest little boy ever and you loved him like your own.
Then Hayley passed away and that's when things became more serious. You we were with him every moment of the day. You were never doing it to win him over or even get anything out of him. You did it because you truly cared. You were both there for Hotch and Jack. He was left without a mother figure in his life and you understood what that feels like so you swore to yourself that you would become his mother figure. Even if nothing ever sparked between you and Hotch you knew that you wanted to be there for Jack to watch over him.
"Y/N?" Hotch asked. "Yes?" you asked. You had your eyes closed and to be honest you were half asleep. You were so relaxed because Hotch took away all your stress. "Do you mind having dinner at my place tonight?" he asked. Since you had your ear pressed on his chest you heard his heart beat a bit faster. Was he nervous? You were sort of taken aback by that question. You pulled away and looked him straight in the eyes. Your faces were inches away and Hotch didn't like that, so he closed the space. His lips pressed against yours once again.
You obviously kissed back but this time the kiss was more passionate and it definitely had feelings along with it. Beautiful and indescribable feelings. You smiled and pulled away, even though you didn't really want to but you had to reply to his question. "Take that for an answer" you say winking to Hotch. He had a big smile on his face and was also now a light pink shade which was adorable. You have never been the bold type in relationships but Hotch felt different. He's already seen you at your worst and at your best. He's seen more sides of you that anyone else has. You felt comfortable around him unlike in other relationships were you felt like you had to play a character. Whatever happens tonight you were just grateful for this very moment. You smiled and let out a soft sigh. This is what heaven truly feels like.
