I stared at the ruby eyes for a few seconds then let out a smile
"Greetings Human"
They stared at me with a bright smile as they slowly chuckled afterwards placing a hand on my cheek and wiping the tears off my face
"Why were you crying?"
They stared at me with a comforting yet concerned look in their eyes caressing my cheek softly
"I just don't like dark places.. that's all"
I let out a sigh of relief leaning into they're touch making them flinch at the sudden response to they're actions
"Then why did you come here..? You know how dark it gets"
"Yeah.. i know... But.."
"What time is it? Shouldn't you be with mom?"
"I needed to find you Chara"
They stared at me with a confused look which then turned into a soft look
"Why though..? I thought you had already forgotten"
"I would never forget about you Chara"
"..."
"And i guess... I just missed you"
"I missed you too.. frisk"
We stared at each other for quite some time until Chara decided to break the silence
"So what are you gonna do now?"
"Take you home with me"
I cheerfully said making Chara look at me with a bit of concern in their face
"What do you mean by that?"
"I'm taking you home with me"
"How would you even do that..?"
"I mean.. we shared a soul remember? We could just do that again"
A look of panic suddenly took place on Chara's face
"Wait what!?"
"what-?"
"I cannot do that because you didn't gain any LV or EXP i told you before! My power comes from your wrong actions! I cannot share a soul with you"
"Then we'll just have to find an other way!"
"Which is? "
"Uhm.. i mean.. i might have something in mind but j don't know if it's possible for me to do.."
"frisk.."
"I could split my soul and give you one half"
"Frisk no"
"What? Why not?"
"You could get hurt!"
"It's worth a shot!"
"But what if you-"
"I'll be fine! Stop worrying too much"
They stepped a bit away from me as I got a hold of my soul
I took a deep breath and started to split my soul in half causing me to let out a scream in enormous pain
I started shaking as pain overflowed inside my body but I continued trying
In the corner of my eyes i saw Chara staring at me with concern in their eyes standing frozen in place
After a few minutes i managed to rip my soul in half making me collapse on the floor feeling exhausted and a bit weak from the sudden split
Chara rushed beside me asking if I was okay panic rising in their voice which I only replied with a slight nod
I sat on the floor for a while for my energy to return as I noticed my HP was half the HP i had before
It was probably because my soul getting split in half
I looked over at Chara who was still staring at me in a protective manner
I motioned them to get half the soul
Which they hesitated for a bit until finally reaching out for it absorbing half the soul
Making them give me a look of surprise
"I told you it would work"
"I guess you were right.."
"I'm always right!"
"Hah! Yeah sure whatever you say"
They rolled their eyes in a playful manner before placing a hand on my forehead
"What are you doing?"
"Oh.. uhm.. nothing i was just checking if you were okay"
"Alright then"
"We should rest a bit before heading out.. it seems like you need it"
"Haha.. alright"
We stayed there for a few moments in complete silence trying to rest and relax for a bit
After a while I started to feel much better and i had enough energy to go home
"Alright are you ready to go Chara?"
"What? Oh- yeah"
They seemed like they were lost in thought a while ago but I shoved the thought away as I got up
My legs started to shake a bit but then stopped as I steadied my stand
I held out a hand for Chara to help them get up
They stood up with shaky legs as well but theirs lasted a bit longer
We started walking out of the underground and heading home as we had small talk
"So.. your hair looks longer than when I last saw you"
"Oh- yes, i was thinking of cutting it short again"
"Oh okay"
We continued the small talk till we reached the house
The lights were on which meant toriel wasn't asleep yet probably because I wasn't home and she got worried-
What will I tell her once she sees her dead child alive? Again
and the fact that I split my soul.. haha .. she won't be so pleased with that information
