Spencer's POV

I notice the tension betweens Hannah's eyebows as she walks into the office. She heads to her desk and sits down placing her head on the desk breathing out heavily. "She didn't talk the whole ride. I think Reid 2 is broken" Alvez laughs patting me on the back "I'm fine Luke just stressed and if you keep calling me Reid 2 I am going to punch you in the face." she says lifting her head. "I think we should head out and relieve the baby sitter." I say grabbing her bag and she grabs my hand. "Yes I agree" she says waving to the team as we leave. Once we get in the car she breaths out and looks at me. "We need to talk and I mean really talk. I am talking about our future here or well mine atleast." she says turning to look at me I stop and look at her "What do you mean Han?" "I want to get ready to start retiring from the bureau. I mean I want Grace and Jason to grow up without having to worry about whether or not mommy and daddy come home. I mean I am still going to be paranoid about the world but that is just because of what we have seen on this job. But I won't be concerned that someone from this job is going after them, I won't have to sit at home and worry about Grace at school being in school. It's tough being a girl in a man's world especially a super smart girl. and Jason he is so curious about everything. I want to take him exlporing and I want to live out my life with my kids and with you while I can without worrying that you were shot or having you worried if I was injured." she says word vomitting as she calls it. I grab her hand "I've been thinking about this for years but you have always looked so comfortable working that I didn't want to mention cause I didn't think you would be up for it. I mean my old Unit Chief Hotch left to go into Witness protection from the unsub we were chasing because Scratch had started stalking his son Jack. Then he resigned from the bureau because he wanted to see his son grow up and now that I am a father I understand where he is coming from. I understand now why Gideon never had a proper relationship with his son. I don't want that Hannah I want us to know our kids and have a relationship with them" I say "I don't want to leave the team without any genius's but I mean come on you've been at this forever and so have I. I mean I am not as sharp as I used to be" she says looking out the window as I pull onto the highway. I nod "I agree Hannah" I mumble

We get home and I crave the feelings of holding my kids in my arms and hearing their speedy voices as they quickly go through the events of their day. I get that the minute I walk in the door. "Daddy. Mommy you won't believe what I learned in school today" Jason yells running up to us. Hannah crouches down and looks at Jason "What did you learn today?" she says lifting him "I learned the process of photosynthesis and that plants use cholorrphyll to get nutrients from the sun so they can eat and grow and stay green. That's why we have to put plants in the sunlight. I also learned that mitochondria is the power house of the cell" he says handing us a paper with an A on it "That's Grace's test in science I got an A+ so I am better." he says sticking his tongue out at Grace who is doing her homework. She rolls her eyes as I walk over and sit next to her looking at her homework "Ooooo Triganmetry. Fun" I say clapping my hands together she looks up at me with the annoyed blue eyes I fell in love with 15 years ago. Hannah's eyes. "Dad seriously this isn't funny. I am studying for the placement exam to see if I can get into advanced math next school year." she says storming down the hallway and slamming her door "Eleven year olds. They are so bossy" Jason says jumping on the couch. Hannah walks in the room and closes the door behind her. "How was school today?" I ask wanting to actually know how the rest of his day went "Well me and Kaylee played chess together. She almost beat me but she didn't then we went to lunch I ate mac n cheese. I saw Grace being shoved into a locker so I shoved the guy back. Me and Grace ran into our next classes. Then Uncle Will picked us up from our activities after school" he says not looking at me. "is your sister being bullied Jason?" I ask looking at him he nods slightly not taking his eyes off of the television. "Jason Derek Reid you look at me right now. Why didn't you say anything earlier? Bullying is mean thing and it hurts people's feelings that is why your sister is being a grumpy pants today she is hurting because of her bullies." I say looking back at the closed door. "Wanna help me make dinner while we wait for Mommy and Grace to finish talking" I ask and he smiles and nods putting his little chefs hat on that Hannah bought him.
