Genre: Contemporary/Realistic Fiction
Prompt: You're riding the elevator one Monday morning on the way to work. Your colleague—who you're not a fan of—happens to be on the same elevator. Beside the necessary hellos, you both ignore each other. When the elevator slows to a stop on the wrong floor, you panic. Then, the power goes out. You can't think of a worse way to start your morning, trapped on an elevator with someone you dislike....

Books in the contemporary fiction genre are made up of stories that could happen to real people in real settings. The books do not fall under other categories or genres.
