Anakin's saving grace

Chapter 9-The Birth

When I woke again I was on an operating table.

"Anakin!" I screamed.

"I am here Padme." Anakin said.

"The babies." I said.

"Shh, Its ok they are working on getting them outright." He said.

"I don't feel up to the challenge." I said with pain shooting through my body.

"Padme, Stay with me." He said.

"It hurts too much." I whimpered.

"Look. After this we will go to Naboo, I will do whatever you want just stay, don't leave. Don't leave me Baby! I will go to Naboo and we will never look back." He said pleading.

"Now you want to go to Naboo.." I said with a laugh.

"Yes, I do so stay! Live and stay!" He said holding my hand.

I let out a blood curtailing scream.

"Ooh-Bah, Ooh-Bah." Said the droid doctor.

I let out a sob.

"Ee-see-tah oy-doh." said the droid doctor holding a baby.

"Luke." I said as the droid handed the baby to Anakin. He looked down at the baby and smiled.

"Ooh-Bah, Ooh-Bah." The droid doctor repeated.

I let out a whimper.

"Come on Padme, you got this." Anakin said still holding Luke.

"Ee-see-tah oy-dah." The dorid doctor said as it held up another baby.

"Leia." I said smiling.

Anakin took the baby's and handed them to me.

"Padme, Live for these babies. Don't make them grow up without a mother." He said.

"I am trying. To live I just don't have the will to live." I said whimpering.

"I am sorry, Get the will. Don't leave me. I will give you the will." He said leaning down to give me a kiss. 

"That got me some will." I said. Anakin went behind me and held up my back.

"Look let these give you the will to live." He said, talking about the two babies in my arms.

I smiled looking at the babies.

"Her pulse is getting stronger." Said the droid doctor.

"There we go Padme. Get the will." Anakin said.

"I am trying." I said looking up at him and smiling.

"Anakin, You are going to have to go to the council and attest for what you have done." Obi-Wan said walking in.

"I know." He said, looking at the babies.

"But they will have him killed for what he did." I said looking at Obi-Wan.

"I know that's why you guys are not here as Padme and Anakin Skywalker, You are he as Amara and West Weston." Obi-Wan said.

"Thank you. But what will we do after this?" I asked.

"You go to Naboo. Live happy there, I will come to visit when I can. Never come back. Raise Luke and Leia. Train them in the force. Make them the next generation. Let them right your wrongs." Obi-Wan said smiling.

"Thank you Master." Said Anakin smiling.

"No problem. Can I hold a baby?" Obi-Wan asked.

"Yes." I said handing him, Leia.

"She is beautiful you two." He said smiling.

"So how long did you know about us?" Anakin asked.

"Since you left for Naboo and came back different. Why would you ever want to go to Naboo unless to marry Padme. The love between you guys is way to strong to ignore." He said laughing.

"Oh." He said looking down.

"Thank you for keeping it a secret." I said.

"No problem. I wanted you two to be happy." He said.

"Thank you." Anakin said.

"You too should leave as soon as Padme can travel." Obi-Wan said rubbing Leia's baby arm.

"I know how long do you think I have?" I asked.

"I would say a day at most?" Obi-Wan said.

"Give me 3 hours." I said.

"Padme that is not enough time." Anakin said.

"It's ok, I can do it." I said.

"Ok, I will say that Anakin knocked me out on Mustafar and then left with you." Obi-Wan said.

"Ok." I said.

"Really thank you." Anakin said.

A few hours later I got the ok to leave the hospital.

I got dressed and went to give Anakin a hug. Obi-Wan came in.

"You guys have to go now. I just saw a ship pull up and I am thinking Palpatine tracked Anakin here." Obi-Wan said.

"Thank you, Obi-Wan. We will be on Naboo come visit please come visit." I said.

"I will. Live a happy life, raise the twins." Said Obi-Wan, smiling.

I gave him a hug then took Anakin's outstretched hand.

"Good-bye, master." Anakin said.

"May the force be with you." Obi-Wan said smiling.

"As with you old friend." Anakin said.

I gave Obi-Wan one more look then ran after Anakin.
