Chapter 23: Meeting Megumin's Parents

We leave the bush while Yunyun and Megumin hide behind me

Aqua:"Well, if it isn't a bunch of discount, wannabe demons! oh my! what might a bunch of ogre-looking wash-outs who couldn't even cut it as lesser demons want with us? *giggles* look, i'll let you walk away this one time, so scram! go! get!"

Me and Megumin deadpanned, more soldiers appeared from the bushes

Y/N:"What the heck are you doing?"

Aqua:"Calm down, it's me the one doing this after all!"

Y/N:"Yeah, that's what i'm concerned about..."

I looked around to all the soldiers, more were coming

Y/N:"Geez, what a pain"

Megumin:"Shouldn't you be doing something?"

Y/N:"No thanks, i want to know what Kazuma's idea is"

But he was just looking, just like me

Y/N:"Forget it, hey Kazuma"

He returned to reality

Kazuma:"Yeah?"

Y/N:"Take care of Megumin and Yunyun for me for a second, will you?"

Kazuma:"What's your plan?"

I passed to the front

???:"Hmm? and you are?"

Y/N:"Alright listen here, i want you all out of here right now"

???:"You can't order us around"

Y/N:"I can AND will, so you all will go through the path you came from and leave, use this chance while you can"

Megumin:"You don't want to make him angry"

Yunyun:"Yeah, he has a short temper"

Y/N:"Ye-- hold up! what was that!?"

???:"Shut up, you stupid crimson demons!"

I slowly turned to him

Y/N:"Excuse me? you wont be talking like that to them"

???:"What will you do about it!?"

I raised my hand with fire rings going around it

Y/N:"Hey Meg, i remember Yunyun called your magic a joke, care to help me prove her wrong?"

Megumin:"You got it!"

Kazuma:"Knowing Y/N, i know he isn't planning to--"

Megumin & Y/N:"EXPLOSION!"

The area blew up by a nuclear-like explosion, all of them got hit by the explosion but me and Megumin were the only ones who stood their ground

Kazuma:"Y/N, i'm never trusting you again..."

Y/N:"Fair enough"

Then, Megumin fell to the ground, and reinforcements started to come

Megumin:"What do you think of that!? my explosion magic! well will you still call my magic a joke? oh right! Y/N! what score would you give to that!?"

Y/N:"A great explosion, definitely 200 points"

Kazuma:"NO! THAT WAS A NEGATIVE 90! WHAT NOW!? BECAUSE WE'RE IN NO CONDITION TO CARRY YOU AWAY!"

Y/N:"No need to, leave them to me"

I turned my cannon on again, it was still shooting small sparks, signaling that it was still broken
